cat came to help show the polyester fabrique ofcourse. how kind . I really love watching you work, you are very precise. Thank you for sharing this technique, that's exactly what I was searching for. I'm from '73 and I grew up watching painted model covered with sylk or paper. I tried using termoplastics by I hate them thou I recognize they are very useful and contribute to having light models. I was wondering if there was a light fabrique that didn't require to put ton of glue and let this way having a more traditional cover that I could paint. This solution seems perfect. I've watched some other videos of yours: if I may espress an opinion I think it would be very pleasnt having more time dedicated to the process and maybe little shorter to the explanation alone. if it doesn't bother you after a presentation, you could give more detail during the implementation. watching such a skilled modeler is a pleasure and it's very instructive.
Excellent technique Mark 👍
Cheers Cliff
That looks orsum Mark, look forward to the side pipe installed. I bet she will sound orsum. 🫡
Hi Mark, it's looking like plane now. Nice work 🙂
Thanks I'll keep working at it.
Looking good mark she realy is coming together 🤙🤙
Thanks
He finished by bowing😁 👍🏻
Where does the hot air escape?
Its not done yet more to come ☺
@@MarkCroucherRC4fun 🥵 🌶 !
Looking good. Looking forward to seeing the project finished. Impressive work!
Thanks!
Mick great flying and smooth landing, fun one Mark. Jeff in LA USA
Nice!
Hi Mark, nice tip. Looking nice.
Thanks
Sorry Mark, my request was for setting the incidence between the wings and tail. I'm building a Tiger Moth from plans and stalled out trying to set it up on a biplane, too many wings! Thanks Rian.
😂 Ignore the upper wing and set on the lower wing well at least that's what I do.
Mark great tips on wing mounting. Jeff in LA USA
Thanks Jeff problems shared equals problem halved.
Isn't it nice when things go together perfectly, nicely done 👍
Thanks Cliff
She looked great in the sky Mark, Lobed the smoke trail on the loop 😊
Jeffs in love with her 😂
Beautiful model. Looks every bit as aerobatic as the original. Thank you for sharing,
Thank you! Cheers!
Mark fantastic flying. Jeff in LA USA
We had fun at our old strip
Well done. I think the most effective way to set the dihedral is to have the inner most rib at the proper angle. It is always good to have a measurement or block on the outside of the wing but its critical to place the block at the correct location as no not have a twist in the wing. I suppose the plans would call for the proper location for the block. Looking forward to more.
The angle of the root rib in this case is set a 2°. The "wing tip" block location is not specified in this case (20mm)I chose to place it at the trailing edge.
Can you show how you set the wing incidence please?
Will try to demonstrate a little more clearly with the lower wings
Mark great job on this wing. Seems pretty straightforward for the Master Builder. Jeff in LA USA
Thanks 👍
Its really nice to see you working in - real time - without relying overly on editing - Blue Peter style - "here's one I made erlier" - off csmera. Its very refreshing watching your build process.
Thanks I'll try to keep to that style.
That’s the same model as mine ! Only difference is the rudder in kit doesn’t go below the fuz
This is a blown up "Night train" built to 150%. Check out Outerzone
Wow she’s looking epic, nice little tweaks. I see the engine all painted. Nice Mark. 👍🏻
Thanks 👍
nice flying
Great set of videos on the KK Ladybird Mark. I've managed to get a kit and will be starting my conversion on it shortly to RC Assist. Did you do a video on exactly how you did the mod on the rudder and elevator plus installing the radio gear? I think I've missed it and that bit would be really useful.
ua-cam.com/video/KRiPus29ee0/v-deo.htmlsi=ngaZxA6eM67sh4WN Not fully explained but this might help in the end I put both servos in the fin
I always liberally pot any thread bindings with epoxy, no danger of them rotting out then!
True but I needed the undercarriage to be able to rotate in the bindings so the cable ties seemed the best move.
@@MarkCroucherRC4fun I reckon I’d have put a brass tube in and then bent the undercarriage around it, then bound it to the former, your solution is probably lighter but I’d worry about having to replace the tie-wraps should they need to be changed, with them being so well built in.
@@Pete-tq6in Good idea however the undercarriage was preformed so this was not an option. Time will tell regarding the ties
Mark another master building class. Looks amazing. In another video could you show how you steam the plywood? Jeff in LA USA
Thanks Jeff very kind, the steaming is nothing special, wet one side flick the kettle on or get a pan boiling on the stove and pass the wet side back and forth through the steam. Ill do a little video to show the process.
Mark great gear build you make it look like baking a cake 🎂 Jeff in LA USA
Keep it clean apply the heat simple.
Great video Mark, I thought you were going to make. A wooden engine 😊. Sounds good the fabricated exhaust. 👍🏻
😂 The wooden cowl almost happened. It really goes need an extension for the exhaust.
Hi Mark, one always have to have some patience, for me that's been difficult sometimes. Have disciplined myself to just push on with the build. Looks really great. 🙃
Those that don't know me say I must have lots of patience lol I just have a big swear box and I'm stubborn.
I like to have an audio book in the background. Am now listening to Andy Serkis reading the Fellowship of the Ring.
Great progress Mark, two big pieces progressed, your last tip I agree with completely 👍🙂
Hi Mark, nice work. I'll also use these plastic stripes alot.🙂
Nice masterclass Mark, Flintstone modelling, like that. Loved how you made it look so easy, brilliant. 👍🏻
Thanks Chris 😊
Nice work mark looks top notch mate 🤙🤙🤙
Thank you just waiting for a break in the weather.
Like those older planes.
You and me both
You made that look easy Mark, I like your idea for the use of small cable clamps for the front undercarriage instead of stitching ... did you mean zip ties? The last two minutes or so with the light off was a bit different lol
😂 Didn't notice that, yes zip ties an easier and stronger option I think.
What a great airplane, and what a great video! Gave me inspiration to spend today finishing a few of my own models, thanks! Btw, I built an all carbon six foot span SE5 of my own design. It weighs one pound one ounce total! Thanks.
Have fun!
I'm glad I'm not the only one with attic planes.
😂
Whatca great display, that vectored thrust is something else 👍
I have soldered u/c wires over many years, so maybe these tips may help? Bind the legs with 15amp fusewire. Always hold the iron (mine's either 60w or 90w) touching the bottom of the joint (as heat rises) and feed in the solder from the top and sides...the bottom takes care of itself! Use either acid cored solder or Bakers Fluid to flux the joints. Use cellulose thinners to clear away the flux residue from the wires. I hope these tips help you as much as they've helped me!
Certainly are thanks for the tip regarding heating from the bottom especially.
That was an 'elfy take off Mark!
😂
Hi Mark, my father has an old soldering iron I'll use next time. Nice film as always 🙂
Thanks
Always better with the iron under the work piece I find😊
Good point
Very nice shape up in the sky! Nice and noisy also! Fantastic landing too! Thx for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it.
Nicely done Mark 👍🏻
Thanks 👍 looking forward to that Friday feeling

Hi Mark, your vids were recommended to me by Cliff Harvey. This is a superb video. Thank you!
Awesome, thank you!
I use a micro torch for this type of soldering.
Should work well just watch the heat 🔥
Oh it works. Very quickly! LOL!
Great job.
