Covering the tail surfaces in Doculam and tissue: Nieuport 24 by David Boddington

It's time to cover the tail surfaces in an effort to keep the weight down while maintaining strength I decided to combine Doculam and doped tissue.

Looking good. Do you use other coverings and how do you choose what covering to use?

The wings will be covered with solartex for strength, I wanted to keep the weight down in the tail area. This combination provides strength and light weight.

If you do I'd go tissue then Doculam
