I was a spelunker in the mid 80's, youngest registered caver in TX at 15, discovered the largest room at the time in the longest cave in TX, Honeycreek water cave, over 18 miles long back then, my survey went back 3 miles, swimming, until we got our sideshoot passage way to survey.
