  • Edward and I were out looking for caves on a hillside. We started digging at a hole I found, but we ended up finding something much larger and muddier nearby.

    That's a badass cave! The spring was my favorite part as well as that behemoth of a salamander. Too cool!

    Love watching you guys. Do you ever worry about getting so excited to jump down somewhere that you find yourself in a pickle trying to get back up?

    I can't stop rolling the idea around in my head: we need to get ya some (by building/inventing ourselves of 4 prop drones, small enough to fit and fly, maybe roll, 1 of them with a small but effecyive night vis camera. the other 3 would just cloud together continuously mapping/triangulate in close proximity to each other. it feels very do ale to me and im dumb lol
    edit 2: id get off on seeing real data on altitude ,etc!

      Fit them with sonar/echo location technology so they can map out the cave!

    Very freaking cool. When you go exploring, who do you talk to about getting licenses/permits when they're required? (Edited)

    • @RustyWells2
      @RustyWells2 2 місяці тому +4

      There's no license required in the South!

      I assume you mean permits

      @CaveChronicles  2 місяці тому +2

      It depends who manages the land/cave. For most of them you have to get in contact with the landowner and ask for permission. Others are on public land, and most of those don't require a permit, but some do.

    Next time you go down, take some samples for a microbiologist! Could identify some new bacteria!

      Agreed. They really should do either that or take a biologist/geologist down these caves.
