Something that would be cool, if you could create a full-on VR experience with one of your cave dives then that would be epic. Probably might be expensive though, I don't really know about these things. Ah well, just a thought. :)
it would be cool to take a 360 camera inside one and take pictures going through a cave and you could explore it yourself kind of like google street view. Would be a lot of work and would definitely have to be a smaller cave so you don't have to click thousands of times to see it but had that idea for awhile. I lidar scanned one of the caves we discovered before with my phone but even that small cave was pushing it and kept crashing my phone.
@@CaveChroniclesit would be 0 work just hold a 360 camera steady and go to a cave that's easy. Just upload to UA-cam as 360 video. It's that simple. Then you just watch with vr goggles. It wouldnt be any work at all besides being a good cameraman
22:30 they're barnacles, corrals need the sun to thrive. Barnacles can be found in the darkest corners of the ocean... And apparently in caves 🤔 They look like fossils
This is hundreds of miles inland and over 1500ft above sea level. These corals are from an ancient shallow sea that used to make up most of America in the Mississippian Period 320-350 Million years ago when the continents were still connected.
I was dismayed that Amanda was not wearing protective clothing. Bare arms and tank top leave her exposed to insect bites and scratches that can be infected. You don’t know what microscopic bacteria could be in a cave with bat guano or insects.
That's not the only thing though. There's dozens of minerals that glow under UV. I think they were probably looking at Flourite as that glows green, blue, and occasionally red, could also be selenite or aragonite. But it looks mostly like Flourite to me.
I know nothing about caving, but I do know this: I would have an ABSOLUTELY BULLETPROOF means of knowing the way to get back out. I mean I would have a backup plan and a backup to the backup plan and a backup to the backup to the backup plan. Also batteries. Lots and lots and lots of batteries. I cannot conceive of a hellscape worse than being down there without knowing how to get out and with flashlights failing.
You can also just use a wind up flashlight. They don't have a super long run time but you just wind a reel and they charge back up that way so you never run out of light.
8:12 Straight outta avatar. Amazing!
Y'all are out of your minds !!
That shit scares me to death, just watching it on my tv
Kudos
This is my favorite video you’ve ever made!!! I love the crew they seem awesome!

Willemite glows green under UV light. Might be some sort of zinc.
It's uranium
I think you might be right, Willemite.
maybe uranium?
You all had my heart rate up at times there ……. Brilliant to watch x❤x
@11:23 Somebody lost their cell phone and truck key.
That’s so grim. I hope whoever left them there didn’t die somewhere in that cave.

Would be cheap. I have an old $90 logitech 360 camera I never use.

8:26 this close-up looks a lot like opal. Maybe fracturing and falling from the ceiling?
Color under uv light Willemite yes it is zinc.❤❤❤😮
Very cool!
Would be sweet to backlight some of the crystals with permanent uv light strips
8:30 definitely Uranium
Common opal glows green.

Uranium + UV light = neon green. Radioactive = YES.
I was thinking the same thing

Thank you @@deekamikazebeen wondering this! Time to go read about the physics behind that!
Common opal glows green.
Incredible thumbnail
That's trippy fun 😎 mud otters
It might be possible the green dots are the poop from a Glow worm colony.
What required those brick and bars to be put in?
So the formations don't get vandalised?
so inexperienced people or kids don't go down there and get stuck. Usually just preventative
Imagine coming out of the cave and realizing you lost your keys

That Green glowing stuff is most likely uranium.
urin glows green under UV
Who put the gate in place, the governemnt?
The Landowner
@@CaveChroniclesW
Probably because of the Uranium
Annie you Goonie
I would bring a metal detector with me and see if I can find a gold nugget or something like that
A gigantic conquistador Spanish gold bar
Who lost their phone and keys?
after seeing this I think all save explorers should be using UV lights as a matter of course, makes the save transform from brown to amazeballs
Skinny people only.
Green crystals are emeralds money money money money money
Opal
7:44 y'all just found uranium crystals
@ 11:20 WHOS IS THAT ??
The cellphone? Yeah I was wondering the exact same thing.. it looks like he didn't notice it. I wonder if someone actually forgot it there?
Looked a bit like blood splatter, bones nearby? Hmmmm. Fee Fi Fo Fum?
