are you running muffler and resonator on your cc designs exhaust?
@@exiety3162 straight pipe
And you live in fl? Damn bro I saw you run a plaid and I gotta subscribe after seeing this fucking monster. Great vid. We should compare. You’ll smoke me but I’d love to hear and see this push almost 40psi
What engine oil are you running for such high hp?
20w50 VR1. switching to LAT full syn 20w50 since its grade 4/5 base oil and just overall a much "baller" oil
@@SportyMk7 thanks for your response, I am currently building a full motor for myself, so in a nutshell I can’t run 5W40 or 5W50 any longer then? Must be a 20w? Is your oil pump OEM and it’s keeping up with such heavy oil on cold starts?
@@arsenyrazhkov4559 you can run whatever your oil clearances are spec for. i just run a thicker oil to be safer with oil pressure and since its basically a 'racecar'. oem oil pump. yes its doing plenty fine with cold starts. although florida never see's anything that 'cold' anyway. oil is usually 70-80*f before start up
Dsg is what its lack of.
were you referring to the ecotune cylinder head when talking 2 port vs 4 port flow?
@@Night_keen ECOTUNE doesn’t own the head. It’s just from a Chinese market MQB car. But yes either them or A2B are the only ones I’m aware of that run a 4 port head
@@SportyMk7 Im super interested to see an MQB car finally break into the 900-1000whp range. I think in the next couple years or so we will finally see it possible. As Ive only heard rumor its a cylinder head flow restriction that’s speculated to be the barrier. Ive been following your build a little bit now and I gotta say it’s fascinating bro, keep it up!
@@Night_keen head flow is a major issue yes, usually top platform guys throw way to big of a turbo at the car and then just try and run super high boost to make the power. 4 port will likely take over long term but i dont see why most 2 port cars with sleeves etc cant do 900-1000 all day.
@3:54 those rear view mirror shots are just flexxing😅!
@1:24 putting someone in your rear view mirror 😂!
this might be the most decent sounding e888. as bad as they sound this is actually tolerable
Just run nankang crs v2, it's inexpensive for its class and is on the same level as advans. Longer life and stiffer sidewall on the nankang also
what is the cars weight currently - if you dont mind?
@@danpeoples1000 3240 wet, no one in it

So funny, I had the exact same jack failure dent on my side skirt on my old mk7 gti
previous owner things lol
Hey man, you used to have a pretty great build guide with your rating on parts and tunes - I see you've taken that down... any plans on putting out an updated parts/tunes tier list vid? It was actually pretty useful in planning out my MK7.5 build lol. Vids are awesome, thanks!
Can you make a vid running through how you got setup and running on tuning with simos?
Love how your videos go from 400hp to 600hp to 700hp+ 👌
Post some racing
Any plans on putting lighter front seats in? And how much does it weigh? Love the build
3240lbs. All the details are in the description
How do you like the catback?
@@Grohss great exhaust
More craziness here. This is the R of all R's lol. Question about tires though. I heard you mentioning how you went down on size. I did the same and went to a light weight 18" rims and Michelin 4S. Car feel lighter for sure and hit 165 recently in Mexico and still had plenty of room up top. Going that fast are my tires safe at that speed?
Just go off your tire speed rating. Most tires can handle a quick pull to 160 or so at higher power levels as it’s mostly the tire heating up that actually causes it to blow up. When it only takes 10 seconds or less to get to 160mph it’s kinda null
4s has a crazy speed rating you don’t have to worry about them
What front caliper is that ?
VTT front brake kit Wilwood setup
Oo man! I cant wait to see more of this!
🔥💪
I have a mk8R at stage 1+ with EQT pushing about 450whp on e85. My car already feels extremely fast. But to see a Golf R pushing 700hp I just could not imagine how mental that is to experience behind the wheel.
Easiest way to explain it is, think of how a 1st or 2nd gear hit feels. That’s how mine feels at 100mph…
Nice mk8 just needs tune I'm waiting for s3 8y to get there too they have 500hp turbo for it
Surprised you are still using the heavy stock battery lol
It’s a street car, this car won’t see trailers for a while
Are you running stock radiator
No CSF radiator, not needed but wanted to not worry about it
2:45
4:44 "full weight"
GTI seats lighter?
Yea but not enough for me to change them out. I’d rather go to a Kirkey if it came to it
Dam bro that 68mm seems to spool up a little slow ur sure thats the best fit for that little 4 cylinder. Bro is ur built R as unreliable as mine. In the last 4 months ive replaced the cam, the cam button coming off the cam, The front magnet, map sensor, rear magnet, Turbo, Boost controller solenoid, another cam, more boost leaks, blown out spark plugs..... 630 whp FUK this thing bro which is why im swapping it with an RS3 and just bought an IROZ 1300 kit with a 72mm motor is sleeved with custom cams and Syvex. Magnesium wheels, Dodson clutches, AP brakes, CF everything, lightweight seats, etc.... this is literally the most unreliable platform ive ever dealt with. Fully built motor, built head, A2B plenum, A2B 770 kit..... Tuned by UM. It hits hard but I usually dont go more than a week before it breaks and thats driving it lightly! What is front and rear rim and tire set up? Can u fit the 15's on it? I have AP racing front brakes. Thanx
Car hasn’t been unreliable at all. Comp wheel isn’t the cause of late spool it’s the 5+5 turbine and large AR turbine housing. I wouldn’t even really consider 52-5400rpm “late” when revving to 8000. Hate to say it but difference is the person building and tuning it. Others will never care enough to dial in a customer car quite like a shop or personal car. Car fits 15” wheels with no issues
@@SportyMk7 Its built by A2B and the things breaking have nothing to do with build quality these are ALL parts that are failing repeatedly! The Turbo wasnt installed improperly, The Boost controller works or it doesnt, The cam works or it doesnt lol Its just the biggest POS ive ever owned honestly! 5400 is where mine comes it so ur not spooling that thing at 5400 bro more like 6000-6300 but the turbo makes zero power on motor so its just a slug till it hits 5400. UM is the very best Tuner in the busness period! Its not the tune bro its just not made to handle that much power its just unreliable which is why im swapping and TBH im bored with the power I need like 500 more WHP. I got a 1700 hp Trackhawk and a 1700 hp Turbo Mustang that has a 91mm on it now making 1100 whp on 93 octane weighing 3400 lbs but this thing is really fun.... when its not broken lol
@@TENNESSEETRACKHAWKI mean hey to each their own for sure, but I don’t think it’s fair for you to tell him where his turbo is spooling up or how reliable his car is. I don’t know Sporty like super personally or anything but I’ve talked with him a good amount, and I will say he’s probably spent more time on this than a lot of shops might be willing to. It can really be a reliable and strong platform, but again like he said it depends on who’s working on it and tuning it.
I have a 600+ whp 2016 Golf R WITH 165,000 km's on it. All I've changed is one waterpump and one oil control valve. It's been super reliable so far. I'm even on the original OEM clutches. Sounds like an issue with the builder/tuner?
I’ve had my 2016 R with 32,000 miles for almost 4 years. 2.5 of them it’s been in the shop with one thing after another. On my third engine 😂 Luck of the draw I guess.
I see a built vw/audi me likey
Big fuggen turbo man
When you say the TPC went 6.0 on V-star and 5.8, are you referring to your old setup with the TPC 770? Asking because that is actually quite quick for a daily driver type setup and what I'm interested in. I mean a mid 5 daily driver, if you can keep it reliable would be amazing.
Old wheel/tire setup & or the wheels that are on the car in this video. Motor is very over built and can handle a lot more abuse than I’m throwing at it. But that’s the point since I usually beat on my setups via testing and racing
@@SportyMk7 let me ask that a different way then, I was less interested in wheels and more on the turbo...was the 5.8 and 6.0 on the 770 essentially full weight?
No, you’re very unlikely to see a bottom 6 on stock motor unless weight is dropped by a fair bit
@@SportyMk7 going back thru all your setups and evolution on this platform, knowing what you know now, what is the ultimate "built motor" daily driver full weight turbo set up? I can't think of anyone who would have greater insight than you since you did your own work and research and you aren't a shop trying to sell a particular turbo or fueling setup. Can't wait to see you post new content...really gives ppl an idea of what this platform is capable of in a built not bought setup.
@@05pharmd i think this platform will go fastest on the TTS chassis. the amount of possible weight reduction on those cars is a lot more than a Golf/S3. As far as turbo setups. just for simplicity (bolt on and internal wastegate) I very much enjoy the new PagParts SRX kits. As far as fueling, again, PagParts lpfp (E5LM) is killer. Its very popular on the turbo v10's and can flow pretty much anything you throw at it. im at 85%/100% @13.5v on pump e85 and if i put a voltage booster on it; it would be more than enough to flow methanol if the DI's werent an issue.
My gawd sounds like a RB power run 😮
That idle is crazy 🫠🫠
If you hear something like that you know youre fucked.
Ahh great, Now I really want to turn my 7 GTI back to mostly stock and sell it for a 7.5 R.. lol Keep up the good work brother!
you make it look easy to go that fast
absolutely unreal
That gti is fire bro
put the atw intercooler in the front it will flow better
The 5.0 didn't go. How in the world do you think you're going to beat a 900whp 5.0? Naw buddy.
bruh u gonna catch fire this thing 1:55 the yellow one is flammable* patch alluminium or something*
If anyone’s trans is maxed out it’d be yours 😂 got one myself. I would’ve let off at 120,😂 you already won
Should be racing something with equal to more power for a closer race but beautiful kill
How’s the reliability? I don’t see many of these on the road.
but everyone hates on them 😂
All the stupid people saying it’s fake don’t know how built up that golf. Is thing hurts feelings
Beast of a car bro ! Would love to see you take on Jewels City mk7 Gti 6mt EQT tuned Fbo e85 with the vortex xl. Hes around the same whp as you . But obviously your awd and dsg .
Jewels is slow LOL not worth Kyle’s time and gas 😂
@@GrizzlyJustShorted oh damn seriously? I thought they were around the same power bracket.
@@tylerda282 Have you seen the new turbo he put in?
@@GrizzlyJustShorted Nah but I'll check it out for sure.
Through youtube I am the fly on the wall ...........my mk7 is gonna get it
How has the car held up 3 yrs later?
No dq500 swap? Might as well at that power level? I’m on vortex xl stock motor I went ahead and did the dq500 since my dq381 front diff failed and ruin the clutch pack, starter, and trans
Doesn’t look like I’d be buying that brand with all them problems with it. There’s plenty of other makes out there which look far better made
What front brake caliper are you using did you say Wilwood ? What model bolts up ? Or using a bracket ?
its a kit from vargas, vtt wilwood mqb kit
