I have this pedal on my board and I have each knob set between 1 and 2 o'clock and it gives me that great Waylon sound. Great cheap pedal. It's good for EVH as well but a little different sound than the Phase 90. I think calling it crap is completely B.S. You obviously didn't use it properly.

I've been using these live gigs, practice, studio, rehearsals you name it. So many other things than expensive high-end string set matter more. Btw no one has come to complain about me using shitty strings either 😂 These haven't gone immediately dead, or won't intonate well like so many other HQ brand bad patches i've had. I use floyded guitars so I don't know about high strong they are tho,. A bit diff color (blueish) vs EB for example and surely these are nothing special. Basic strings and that's it. Plain strings are just polished steel without tin, so Orphees won't start to darken vs D'addario or EB. Bit slicker/faster feeling plains than tin-plated plains. Funny thing these are packed their main envelope having their own envelope inside + advertisement stickers etc,. So packaging is more costly than the usual over 10€ string pack,.. .. And these wont either promise perfect intonation, cleaner sound, brighter output, longer life and 10 other nice things than most other packages. And yeah, you get 5 sets with 5€,. But, considering the price these cannot be good? Right? RIGHT? If you don't know the price/brand you aren't going to complain about the strings. You can easily be pulling the big one if you want and say these are this or that brand strings,.

Another kid that has no idea how Eddie got the "Brown Sound." Brown, as in Brownout. Lowering the voltage, aka sag the voltage. Using a Variac. And you still don't have his tone. But keep working on it.

If you're going to test them, then play something that test them. Do some 1 and half tone bends, do some Pete Townsend windmills, pour some lighter fluid on them and light them up.

If you're sitting alone in a room playing riffs its easy enough to just pick your favorite of the two. Let's hear those against the backdrop of a full rock band. One where you are the only guitar player and one where there is a second player. The 57's are popular for not getting too easily buried in a mix. Id be interested in that comparison on video.

Sorry, you’re wrong. I bought one, through a Gotoh bridge on it, new tuners, better pickup and a red neck pickup. All in maybe $400 for it and I leveled the frets and did a full setup. Either you don’t know how to work on guitars or you think only EVH branded stuff is worth your coin. I have 8 EVH guitars (3 of the Frankie relics non-striped) and this plays as good as any of them now.

Hey so I have a Aodsk crunch distortion but for some reason the little power thingy that is supposed to glow, won't turn on and it won't work. Does anybody know how to fix this?

They sound just fine to me. I don't know what the problem with them is. I've used cheap strings before and they were fine. Here we are, four years later and this brand still exists. Also, I'm Canadian so I don't have to worry about the cost of surgery. 😁

Funny, the distorted stuff all sounded about the same, and the first thing you played undistorted sounded so much better with them it was crazy. The cowboy chord the lack of brightness was disappointing, but in my book they tied one, they won one, and they lost one. Not bad. Now I have not felt them and I think the pain of getting them on, and the feel may be dragging your review of them down. I was honestly surprised when you said they sounded awful across the board.

What is the charger port thing coming from the top at 1:04??? I've tried to plug in my guitar with all the right cords and none of my pedals work. This is because I don't have the cable that comes out of the top of the mini pedal. What is that cable? Where can I get that cable?

Boss GT-1000 feels very satisfying feel wise, it will not disappoint you in the sound department too. Way lighter and easier to carry compared to Helix floor or Helix LT. I will choose to own these and real amps too! It's not an "either " situation for me, so why not own both?
