Oddly enough, I was choosing between these two lenses. I’m going with the Zeiss, thank you THANK YOU for saving me more than $1k CAD haha!

I’m not a photographer, just a fan. I think AI when used in this context is just a tool to help solve problems faster. The real art in this image comes from your vision, creativity, and eye. AI has come up with some amazing stuff, and there’s definitely an audience for it; but, we shouldn’t be afraid to use it to speed up our work. It’s all about finding the balance between leveraging AI and keeping our unique creative touch - which you clearly do 💁🏽‍♀️

I bought mine new when they first came out and I've still got it. It works perfectly too. I bought the battery grip for mine for easier vertical shots and used it semi professionally for weddings/proms/family shoots etc. A cheap Sunpak flash completed the outfit and I never needed anything more. Even the kit lenses that came in the box were fine for what I needed. Best of all, the photo editing software that came with it was/is also perfectly adequate and very easy to use. As and added bonus, all Minolta auto-focus lenses are compatible with it.

hii , I just bought my first Camera to travel to Tokio and Kyoto Japan ( Eos R50 ). I am a total beginner, would the 50mm be perfect to learn and to take pictures of Tokio ? I have the kit lens now ( 18-45 ). Love the video :)

If you had done it in photoshop manually with masks/brushes people would have no issue. Using ai to "do it for you" is what it really ends up coming down to. I say use whatever tool you have at your disposal to accomplish your goal and make no apologies

Hey there! What memory card do you use for these? I know they don't have a slot for a regular sim card, and I'm having trouble locating the correct one so that I can take the photos off of the device and edit them. Thanks!

With anything new and progressive (in this case photography), you will always get the traditional and 'old school' guys feeling like it takes away from the artistic side or creative aspect. But blunty put, this is the new world. It is what it is. The reality is, the average person out there, especially the youngsters, will always move towards 'whats in'. If this is your bread and butter, then accept it for what it is. If it's not, it doesn't matter either way, i guess. Its a tough one.

For me AI is great if its used as a tool to help with the creative vision I just hate when people use it in a lazy manner

I've been thinking about it and I don't know. Do I buy another camera for 6k 2 years later just because they made a new one? Hell I still think my R3 is amazing and sold off my other cameras because this one is a powerhouse. Will you be buying the R1? If so why?

Excellent video! I own the TT Artisan version which I use on my Leica M240. If I set the sharpness to "high" in the camera menu, not only do I get a sharp image corner to corner, I also get rid of the slight haze as the contrast is also increased in the process. Great lens, I love it!
