Excellent video! I own the TT Artisan version which I use on my Leica M240. If I set the sharpness to "high" in the camera menu, not only do I get a sharp image corner to corner, I also get rid of the slight haze as the contrast is also increased in the process. Great lens, I love it!
Sitting on a tripod with diffused lighting, yeah. They'll match up to the point that a bit of clarity slider will bring them to near parity. Now hit the street and shoot in varying dynamic lighting. That's when the Leica pulls way ahead. TTArtisan flares if the sun so much as glances in it's general direction. Or strong lights. Hell, weak lights. This ruins it, imo. In the street you can't be worrying about stray lights flaring your lens out. Pulls you out of the experience, and tugs at you to check shots to make sure the rather unpredictable flare didn't show up. No bueno. I don't see the Leica as an alternative, though. Price is too disparate. I'd say the Voigtlander 28/2.8 Color Skopar is a better choice. Barely bigger, way faster, way better performance/reliability.
Love your take, and I agree. I’ve experienced the heavy haze you can get when shooting in direct sun light with the TT. That Summaron 28 f/5.6 is an absolute beauty.
Awesome video Jameel, the TTArtisan is good value for money and fun to shoot with. I shoot mine around f/8 to f/11 and been very happy with the results, but sadly I have the silver version and not the BLING BLING gold version 😉
Correction: The TT Artisan retails for $450 CAD, not $700. This makes the TT Artisan that much more impressive.🎯📸
Berta!!!! Thanks for this video!

Awesome!!! Thanks so much for your insight. I will certainly give that a try. It’s a really nice, cost effective lens! Looks great too 💯📸🎯
I'd say your tripod is trash but so far the best comparison over UA-cam between those two lenses . good job (and ty)
@@Guenounovitch haha!!! I appreciate that! And yes I definitely need a proper tripod. I’m open to suggestions 🙏🏽🎯

Had to feature the neon truck 😂
You know I had to feature the glow in the dark truck!! 😂😂😂
Maybe add Leica to the title, it always helps with the UA-cam algorithm GOD
Haha thanks for the tip, Darryl!! Gotta appease the gods 🎯🤣
I’d rather support the OG than a Chinese copy-cat anyway
