I love your vibe! After selling off my ff Nikon system 5 years ago I picked up a q2. I too went to Japan last summer and felt the q2 was still too heavy and relied on my iPhone pro. 20k steps daily was taxing on me but next time I go to Japan, I will still leave the q2 behind and bring my brandy new x100vi. I’ve got about 20 years on you so I commend you for taking that big ass bag. Japan is too beautiful to get bogged down by gear. Thank god for all those vending machines everywhere.

Fanny Pack 🤣... Sorry I'm english and Fanny means something else me 🤣 I ordered the Brevite about a week ago as a EDC bag, for more gear I'm using the Wandrd PRVKE 21L. Still not 100% sure on the OSMO Pocket 3 because the focus will jump to whatever is closest to the camera. Been testing the Action 4 for POV, the footage is really nice and much better than the Gopro Hero12
Haha!!! My mom is from Jamaica so I grew up knowing ‘fanny’ to mean exactly what you expect 🤣🤣 yes I do notice focus shift on the osmo. I know that if doing broll, u can apparently lock the focus point so it doesn’t abruptly shift… but that may not help for PoV. I’ll check out that action 4 👌📸🎯 cheers!
Normally when I travel i take the Leica Q2 Monochrome Ricoh GR iii and DJI Osmo pocket 2 all in a 6 liter sling
