#metallica Again another video not to be taken too seriously! Everybody gets their inspiration from somewhere and of course, Metallica is the right go-to as they are the kings of heavy metal! Bands like Avenged Sevenfold, Audioslave, Trivium, Audioslave and many others took a little bite at the king! 00:00 - Avenged Sevenfold 00:22 - Misfits 00:42 - Weezer 00:52 - Collective Soul 01:23 - Audios...

When dudes haven't learned music theory yet and look to the next nearest song to mark as a "ripoff" of, ignoring the other 30 songs before it that had the same cord structure.
So what you're saying is we could have a bunch of killer Metalli-x mashups
Enter Sandman/Exit for Freedom
Metallica is the world's biggest cover band.
Quite a stretch on some of those. How many songs use the same chord structures? Give me a break
"it's best that if you have something nice to say, just say nothing at all! Flush! " you mean if you DON'T?
Wow these are tedious
I do Suspect that David Bowie and Garry Glitter are the same guy as I often get the two confused whenever UA-cam auto plays a documentary on either, just think if David Bowie was known for that Puppets riff instead of walk on the wild side.
Another Dirty trick secret of the music biz is to hire people to look for the best material from lesser known or even well established bNds for the bigger money making bands to cop to make sure they keep making money. The art is the art of deception. Cutthroat smoke and mirrors. . Many and most of These major act bands also have management teams that also provide these predominantly talented players but talentless songwriters with everything from song titles to lyrics to riffs and even uncredited session pro players and album concepts. Think of it as an iceberg corporation...where the band are just the visible part and the ideas and success comes from everything underneath. Dark truth is...Theres just too much money involved to take the chance and let these not so creative or original players actually write and compose their own material. Its been an inside practice from day one.
NICE. Great lesson mate!! Just what I needed as I've only been trying to learn guitar since November now but feel like it's time to start trying to put stuff together. No matter how bad I might sound. Haha!!
very helpful. thank you.
Snakes of Christ 1971? Someone didn’t do their homework.
u were doing 6-0 at the intro not 6-1, great video tho
Really great video, the only one I've found that does an A/B sound comparison. 😊 I've just A/B'ed SPDIF and analogue using an FM9 and a Focusrite 18i8 and found that yes, SPDIF is clearer especially on the top end, probably why it's not so obvious in this test perhaps. I felt the clarity on digital, when using high gain, was perhaps a bit too much. It's like you need it expect a little less clarity for it to sound natural. Probably because that's what we're used to hearing. I can hear *everything* especially in the high mid upwards. Where the real benefit is, for me, is in the ramping and DI recording. Thanks for the great video!
This was ripped off from another metallica ripoff video
Gaskin - Burned Alive - Sounds like Metallicas Phantom Lord and the start of No remorse before they both existed…. Hmmmm
Sounded the same to me.
Great video man I really enjoyed it! Another tip for aspiring song writers. For a bridge section: if you were playing minor chords you can change to major visa versa. This will help contrast when falling back into the chorus ❤
Sweet vid. Nirvana is more criminal than Metallica. I have a list on Nirvana if you could please make a video !!
Ngl, rainbow warrior by bleak house hits hard
Really helpful and inspiring video, thank you!
What you recording on
I dont understand the appeal of METAL ...
Listen to more kinds of music
Came to hear difference between analogue and spidf (check. Thx) but was reminded about the wet/DI advantage. (Could be huge.) Double thanks
I agree. He had some fantastic content about mixing and recording, his opinions are dogshit though, he reminds me of every other myopic gen X nerd who gets upset over other peoples choices.
Any argument about who is The Best or who sucks, yadda yadda, is about pointless. I'm not a huge fan of classical music, but some people are. I HATE opera, but many people love it. I think modern country is terrible. But these are simply my opinions, and just as you have the right to your opinion, Glenn has a right to his and he's not afraid to express it. The thing about Glenn is, he's figure out a way to gain followers with his personality. If he wasn't loud and judgmental and hilarious to watch, I don't think he'd have a half a million followers, and just like you, he's learned that to get views, you need some way to grab people's attention. The fact that a lot of music channels drop Glenn's name to get people to pay attention to their content is pretty telling. I did one video where I was very critical of PRS's new tuner design and that video out performed every video I created in the past two years. Also, every generation thinks their music is the best and every generation's music that comes after is inferior.
Based video. The fact you also work full time on top of that makes you a real one.
Metallica sucks
Ok f@gotdeth fan
Glenn is right
The GOAT is back 💪
haha, I wish!! :D
Great video. Always great to actually learn something on UA-cam!
Ahhh thanks mate!!
Super helpful - the visuals make things even more easier to make sense of all of it. Thanks for explaining it is such a simple way.
Thanks man!! :)
Sub genere are excuses for lame
Thats why i dont like metallica, led zeppelin, greenday, oasis, deep purple, avenged sevenfold. They all rip off band
One thing that I found is that if I have my guitar slung low like past my hip almost I can downpick much longer anytime I have my guitar higher up I can’t downpick very long
Haha love it my mannn 😅❤
Thank you! I needed this
Snakes of christ is from 1990
Why Go also has a riff similar to The Four Horsemen
Nah your band’s riff sounds more like Meshuggah - “I”, like scarily similar
Really helpful, just started programming drums recently and i’ll definitely keep this video in mind
Two Words; Daniel Heiman 🎤
Yep, so long short; Avenged Sevenfold are unoriginal Metallica wannabes. Hell, I even despise the people who think Avenged Sevenfold are a real metal band. They're not. Are you people stupid and deaf?! What about Avenged Sevenfold is metal in any way?
parece portugues a falar ingles , bom video , boas dicas
I feel like with most of these, Metallica just did their own spin on common motifs. Some of these were clear homages (like the David Bowie melody). But Metallica spiced it up.
Absolutely mate! Plus, everybody does that! Korn always has some band playing in the background when they are recording just for inspiration.
Why does the transition between welcome home and rainbow Warrior sound almost so smooth? I mean if you think about it that sanitarium riff sort of represents the guilt and dread that you feel whenever you feel like you failed that Something let's say saving the world before it was too late. You already defeated the Villain For good, but the world is destroyed and crumbled, and some of your friends used to be in this world, Are now dead and you're thinking that Nobody's gonna ever forgive you and that they'll Kill you for being too late and no second chanes or whatever. But the rainbow Warrior part actually gives off a little bit of calming vibes and a bit of reasurance that, All is forgiven and that the survivors can help you fix the world.
Makes me want to listen to the Originals
MetallicacA fails in originality
Smaller channel calling out bigger channels purely to gain clicks is definitely a thing.
...and also, smaller channels telling you to shove your opinion up your ass and not caring about what happens next is also a thing!
