sorry to be off topic but does someone know of a way to log back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid forgot the account password. I would love any tricks you can offer me
@@morganmanesh5142 honestly not long at all. I could play the speeds before but not for full songs and barely faster. Since doing the tempo trick I dont have to do it anymore, I'm just able to play alot faster from it
@@morganmanesh5142 try play creeping death intro at really high speeds just that first bit where theres a short burst of 5 down picks. Or make it 10, that's what I do and slowly increase the tempo, it tricks ur brain to play faster
Marsh McCarthy hmm I’ll try that. I used a video by guitar lessons 365 called rapid downstrokes or something like that and he broke up creeping death and told me to relax absolutely everything and it worked but never stuck with me. It made me extremely happy.
Stand up position helped me reach the tempo of the Master of Puppets, almost straight elbow and super thick picks are my combo (it works for me at least) being relax is the only way as he said guys. took me months to figure it out
The thing is just a good pick grip (Including having the tip of it not all the way out, and attack with a minimal area) and making stamin. I don't consider myself the tightest downpicker at all, but after playing in this order, enter sandman, seek & destroy, leper messiah or stuff, for some half an hour or even less, just making that warmup, you are able to get a pretty fast accurate downpicking for shit like blackened or MOP, Creeping Death. IMPORTANT: Relax! That is an excellent tip, dude. Don't get harmed, i am also a classical guitarist and the thing is that also getting hurt with bad technique is quite common. We as musicians have the mission of making music and sharing it to non musicians and part of that is not harming ourselves with uneven agressive "techniques". Another quick tip: Use the right picks, i really dig the .88 Tortex (Green) with a hand sharpened tip (With sandpaper make the tip sharp as James's personal picks.) Also another thing from classical guitar that can be applied to this is: A short attack, attacking with the smallest movement possible since efficiency is all about that. Greetings dude!
People forget that this is very much a workout for your forearms. Find your max BPM reduce by 20% then 10% then eventually your Max becomes your warm up. Keep chuggin until you reach Hetfield status 😆
One thing that I found is that if I have my guitar slung low like past my hip almost I can downpick much longer anytime I have my guitar higher up I can’t downpick very long
Metallica for LIFE!!

hahahah -Michael Scott 2012 :D
Lol
keep practicing, you might get it mate B)
Short bursts at a high tempo works so well! I was using 230bpm and then played Master afterwards and could downpick the whole thing without tiring !
Marsh McCarthy how long did it take and how many bursts

Not a guitarist, obviously, but I can tell this was super informative and practical! Nice video dude, your humour cracks me up 😂

Do you ever test you up picking and try to keep up and down balanced?
One thing that I found is that if I have my guitar slung low like past my hip almost I can downpick much longer anytime I have my guitar higher up I can’t downpick very long

hahaha nice one! I have no idea how he does that! Especially with a Les Paul sometimes. MASSIVE back pain!! :D
Nome de BR hahaha
Quando chegou no 260 bpm fiquei pensando "Gente, esse cara quer morrer né?"
Hahahha
Metallica for life but then you wear, 'Slipknot's t-shirt'
I don't have a metallica t-shirt that fits anymore!! :D
You look portuguese, é que se for eu também sou
Sou concerteza! :D
In additon to tempo plug-in, try loop master tool for winamp to loop a piece of the song, really helpful... |m|
ha! Nice one mate! Will check it out for sure! :)
This video could have 10 seconds. Just keep playing and practising man.
Why trying to master downpicking when you can just learn alternate picking?
Downpicking has a different sound, not massive but it can be noticeable
That's a very fair point! I guess this is a video for those that are interested in improving that technique, but whatever works for you mate!! :D
Because i want to flex at weak wristed alternate picking fools.
@@salliemckenna6668 exactly most people can alternate pick these tempos, but especially with power chords, they sound different
Play Metallica to a metronome???!!! Try playing that shit to Lars....
hahahah :D
Oh my, shitknot. I'm outta here.
Just a short dude this vids actually very helpful
