  • This video is about writing a chorus for a metalcore song. The process of songwriting can seem a bit daunting, especially if you are new to it. When I started writing music, my biggest problem was not knowing where to start. So I hope this video can serve as a framework you can use to help you get started! I split it into 6 steps which are:
1- Start with a basic progression of power chords
2 - Add rhythm to that progression
3 - Spice it up with more notes and chords
4 - Give you ideas about how to create a melody for the chorus
5 - Start thinking about drums and bass
6 - Spice it up (again) with more than one lead
Hope you guys enjoy it and start writing your own music! Can't wait to see what you guys come up with!!
