As nice as that one is, I'd be in the junk yard digging up parts. Those wire bundles have large connectors if you dig back far enough just for that reason. That will be a job for the next owner. True that mechanics don't want odd jobs and digging through wire bundles is no fun when you're on a strict time schedule.

So so sorry to hear that you couldn’t say Rosie but when you listed all the reasons why I would have to agree it was time to move on. With everything that had failed I wouldn’t feel safe in her anymore. I can’t wait to see what your next RV is and I know you will come up with something good. Rest in peace Rosie, too!

Sadly, most RVs are built without schematics. Plus, even it your coach comes wit (or you can get schematics) they often are quite rudimentary. Probably, the only way to have repaired Rosie was to obtain all of the parts from a donor Alfa, and trace each wire, one-by-one. Much like with a custom built hotrod or muscle car. Something a shop will not wish to undertake. At that point you are looking at doing the rebuild/repair yourself. Something 98% of owners can not do. Could it have been fixed? Yes. But the owner would have needed to accept that task.

Sorry you didn’t find one of the most beautiful drives in Northern California enjoyable. You definitely have to be prepared to take your time and drive slowly. I think you said it was the westernmost point in the continuous USA, but it actually is the westernmost point in California. There are more western points in Oregon and Washington.

Might I inquire tire date code on cause of loss ?

So sad to see Rosie's demise. I almost bought an Alfa last year, but ended up with a Beaver. If you haven't looked into the Beaver brand, I highly recommend it. I bought my tires from Roberts, up here in Mesa. They've also done some suspension work for me. I'm very happy with their service. Here's hoping you find the perfect Rosie Too.3! I thought there was just a newer ALFA in Arizona or Idaho. It was on one of the Alfa groups. Jim Harvey commented on it.

Very sorry for your predicament. At least you both are safe. The outcome is bittersweet. Losing your ALFA is devastating. Getting a newer coach should be exciting,as long as you get a good one. You will be constantly comparing anything to your ALFA. I sure would hate to see ours go. Best of luck.

Just started watching your channel a month ago. Really enjoy them. So sorry to hear that Rosie was not saved. Hope you are able to find a great replacement. Sounds like you might consider a class A gasser. I have had a diesel pusher and know own a A gasser. If you are planning long distance trips my suggestion is go with the diesel. I have to ask. On the side wall of the tire is a date code. It's four numbers cercled. First two numbers are the week the tire was made. The second two numbers are the year.

Hey, I hope you find a great replacement "Rosie".. I can't imagine going back to a "short ceiling" RV after having an Alfa! So I'm waiting to see what you settle on! I also wouldn't want to switch to a front engine after having a pusher!

Aww that's sad that you had to get rid of Rosie, After everything you've worked on now you are losing on that nice paint job you did on it I hope you won't bring down that video cause I'm just waiting for spring to get here and I wanted to use your steps to paint. Wow! Totaled. Sorry to hear this but I figured it would be that way. I just want to let you know that I have listened to alot of your recommendations with our Alfa. Like you- we have thousands of dollars in upgrades. We love all of those upgrades and the Alfa but realized very quickly we did not have enough coverage with Progressive to protect us from loss. I have increased our coverage to 80k where I had it at 50k. Thanks for sharing and good luck in your search for a new Rosie.

When this all first happened, I was hopeful Rosie could be fixed. You have my deepest sympathy for your loss. I hope this doesn’t come across as insensitive, and if it does, I'm truly sorry. I have an '04 See-Ya that I've owned for just 2 years. Sadly, I have to sell it for health reasons. 116k miles, located in Yuma. If you'd like more information, please let me know. God bless you!

Get another Alfa?

Thanks Jamie and Linda. I had been thinking about the outcome of 'Rosie' and was wondering what happened. I'm really glad to hear that you got the best possible outcome, given all your situation and circumstances to consider. Wow... you really had a big task unloading, disassembling, and retrieving all your modifications. And because you don't have a regular home, you have to rent a storage unit to put everything in, until you get your new motorhome. Because you don't travel light, stay away from gas motorhomes. They just don't perform the way you want for full time RV'ing. I think, either a Super C or Diesel C cab-over might be the best answer. But they won't have all the storage you are used to. For myself, I'm looking at buying an Entegra 37.5' Accolade 35 L. But that's just for myself alone. It won't likely be enough room for two people full time. Of course, you could make something like that work. But it would end up being more cRamping and less gLamping. But it is a diesel that won't bog down on the hills. And it's not an airbrake chassis, which I like, as opposed to a diesel pusher chassis. And the 35 L already comes with a jacked up chassis, sway bar system, and much improved suspension for high clearance. They say those C's ride really nice on the road. I pray you find what you need and can use this winter to get everything set up before spring for your 'Rosie' travels.😊 Blessings, Gord

We’ve had an Alpha SeeYa 5th wheel for the last 15 years, we’ve just moved to a 43ft Newmar Dutch Star, the storage in the Alpa is amazing, I didn’t think it would all fit, but it did, best of luck in your new rig.

Shops like that don't deal with this kind of problems , sorry but I think it's fixable...

I am selling my house and planning to buy a diesel pusher to live in. I’ve been looking at the Alfa See Ya. I really like them. My concern is being cool enough in the summer and warm enough in the winter. Have you all had any problems with controlling the interior temperature?

Did you mean Parker is 30 miles South of Lake Havasu? My husband and I was just at the Lake Havasu Hot Air Balloon Fest this year January 2025, what a beautiful drive along side of the Colorado River I-95. We’ll try River Island State Park, it’s beautiful

I'm getting my first rv in 7 days and this was exactly what I wanted and needed to know. Very thorough except when he went to ensure his hookups at the end of the drain hose was correct. I have no idea what to look for. Excellent all the same.
