    It's amazing that you can go there as a child and then again in retirement, yet it's just a blink of an eye compared to the life of the trees in that forest. Truly humbling.

    This is one of the places on our list to go see. The enormous trees were incredible. I can't even imagine it in person! A Big Foot Store? LOL! The Chimney Tree? This was worth the whole video. 😯 Great tour of all the various Redwood sights. -Jim & Michelle

    Jamie and Linda, this is a lovely video. So informative! I really appreciated the information regarding the trees themselves and the historical facts. They are amazing. Well done, friends.

    Wish we had been able to visit there! Enjoyed taking the kids there (decades ago! Yikes!). So many new places to see there! Amazing the trees are so old and fortunately weren’t chopped down by loggers! Thanks for sharing!

    Very nice video! Back in the 60's, Families could Camp south and next to the Lodge and Store in Richardson's Grove. Of course then there was less traffic. The loop was closed and returned to it's beautiful natural state. Now of course there is lots of traffic. The State wants to widen the area of 101 through the grove now. Hopefully that will not happen. Thanks again.

      That would be awful if they add even more highway thru there. There wasn't enough traffic to warrant more lanes when we were there in early September. Thanks for watching!

    Thanks for the video. I love camping in the redwoods. I feel relaxed around them. You passed up the Chandelier drive through tree in Leggitt.

      Hey @craftytraveler9238 ! Three days was not enough to see it all. We absolutely would go back and spend another week!

    The Redwoods are truly amazing and yes those trees are so large you really have to go in person and explore to really see the true magnitude of these trees. You were able to stop at a few locations we didn't have time for it was nice to explore with you. Always a great time learning and exploring with you lots of good facts! Those side stops with all the sasquatch stuff is always fun! Looked like a nice visitor center. We really wanted to do Avenue of the Giants we will need to go back for sure. Great video looking forward to more. Happy New year hope Rosie is doing well!

      It will be fun to see when you go there. @justramblinaround always has a different take on places and of course we'll learn where we should have gone for great food & drinks! LOL!

    What a nice friendly video. We've camped and travelled that area many times over the years. Incidentally... We can tell you are from Southern California when you say "The 101" instead of "Highway 101."😉

      @@RoamingWithRosie If you get up to the Oregon coast be sure to "check out" the campground and lighthouse at Cape Blanco, the Heceta Head lighthouse, watch the fishing boats come into the Depot Bay harbor underneath the Hwy 101 bridge, visit Fort Clatsop where Luis and Clark wintered, camp and see the large coastal guns at Fort Stevens and visit the Columbia River Maritime Museum. They are all "totally awesome."

      You guys definitely need to go. Our videos shot on GoPro don't capture the full experience. On the next episode, it rained. But it was more of a mist and made it enchanted.

    Thanks for the memories. We too were there at 12 years old.! Definitely going to go back again. But first we’re doing the q. Are you guys going to be around and how is Rosie doing?

    • @RoamingWithRosie
      @RoamingWithRosie  10 днів тому

      Hey there! We're renting an RV to go to Q. So we'll only be there during the RV Show. Decision on Rosie will hopefully happen this week. No shop in AZ will touch it.

    Did you know there are a few Giant Sequoia down here in southern California? The largest of them, maybe 8' across, are on Mt San Gorgonio not far from the recently discovered largest oak tree in America, which might possibly be the largest yet discovered on the planet. There are many more over on Mt San Jacinto, although they are just 50 year old babies planted after a fire swept through the area!

      @RoamingWithRosie  18 днів тому +1

      We knew there were Sequoias, but didn't know they were one of the 3 types of Redwoods. In the next video, we'll touch on the fact that they remove insane amounts of carbon from the air each year and if those babies down south can grow big enough, they'll resist fires. Thanks for watching!

    I take it that you got Rosie fixed or you have a new Rosie!!

    • @RoamingWithRosie

      No. Sadly, she sits in Tucson while insurance ignores us. Lazy Days declined the job as estimate is at least double what Progressive thinks. We will have a fight on our hands we think. This video series is from the 2 months of travel prior to the blowout. A cheap repair would be far worse than totaling it to us.
