Just finished watching this video again as a refresher. If all goes well, I'll be trying my first print over weekend. As per DM i sent, THANK YOU SO MUCH for this video. One question i have that you mentioned but didnt show was if i scale a print up to the point i need to delete another part that was on the build plate at the same time, how do i take it off & then add on to a separate build plate print? In my case i have a loot studio figure & base, tried to scale it up bigger but couldnt fit both the base & figure on the same plate after increasing size. So id be looking to print the base & then the figure separately. Id like to know how that is done please. This video is so good i felt i would watch it as i set my print job up & it would be as if you were sitting next to me as i go through the processes ❤

Looking at this, it seems like they've fallen into the same trap as every other consumer grade manufacturer: making newer iterations with a few gimmicks, but no real evolution or even worse, with slight devolutions.

When I saw the preview email in my inbox not too long ago, I was a little confused with the lack on information included. This was Very shortly after Uni had just launched the Ultra, so I wondered if it was repackaging the Two into a new chassis system. Good to know about the somewhat subtle stat change in favor of a few arguably questionable value systems. I'm rather glad the GkTwo doesn't have auto leveling as all the printers I've seen it on to date, when it acts up and there's no manual route to level the printer, you're pretty well up sh!t creek until CS can offer a software solution. So long as a printer is consistent, I just assume keep them as dumb as possible for reliability. The only thing I wish the Two had is a better collimating light source for the UV matrix. It's one feature I had on one of my old commercial machines that made such a huge difference versus anything else that was on the market at the time that dialing a resin to absolute perfection down to the pixel was a breeze. The GkTwo doesn't quite get to that level, but it's passable and as always, the other features more than make up for it.

Well, this is disappointing... I was definitely thinking that a successor to the GK2 would be on my short list if/when my Saturn 2 packs up, given the quality of life features that the GK2 had I preferred over other printers, but this definitely sounds like something of a step back or stasis overall when the other manufactures have been advancing and generally put out cheaper machines.

The smaller build plate makes little sense to me. Other than that its a nice upgrade though I'm curious as to how much better 16k actually is.

Honestly all I see is a big Nooooo! These machines are stupid expensive for a normal person and there are much better machines for less. Yes there might be a little more work to level and monitor and so forth but damn. To add like 400 dollars or euros on top it makes no sense go for now.

Really don't understand how they could release an upgraded printer with a smaller print volume. Plus the utlra has been plagued with problems which is giving uniformation a black eye. Hope they can get their act together as I love my GK2 and was hoping this would be my future upgrade path. Why haven't more manufacturers adopted the build plate design of the GK2 to keep the resin mess at minimum is puzzling.

Where can you get the GK2 for $509? On the uniformation website its still showing as £595! And is out of stock for the UK.

What air brush are u using i want to get into this but i dont want to buy a crappy air brush. Please advise. I will also be getting the paints thru ur link to support this video is great im about to finishing watching the rest now.

maybe too late to get a response, but what I didn't see and most curious about, is how to remove a support? specifically how to remove one of the auto support branches, if i dont like where it puts some of them. is is possible to remove individual supports in blueprint? Love your videos :)

Really shocked and disappointed at the GK3, i love my GK2s and was so looking forward to this printer, but i think I'll give them a miss and look at other companies for my next printer, 😢

Thanks Greedy!!! 👏 I think Anycubics M7 pro might be a better choice at a much better price point. If money is not a factor HeyGears RS is the clear winner. I would also be concerned about the recent quality control issues at Uniformation. Im sure they will get that straightened but until its shown Id go with the mentioned.

Honestly think this is a great step forward, but for the price and features, I would purchase a second heygears RS as my next printer. Great video too !

Hi. I'm hoping you were able to help me out. A few days ago I bought the GKtwo but when the gk3 and gk3 pro were announced, I canceled my GKtwo order. Now with this flurry of videos coming out talking about a bunch of problems with the gk3 and the gk3 pro, I don't know what to do. Do I go back to the GKtwo knowing it's getting old or do I look for the Saturn 4 or anycu uc m7? Or don't you think these gk3 issues are that bad? I'm a hobbyist who would probably print one to two times per week, I need a heater and I need things to work. I don't need speed. I was totally sold on a gk2 as I mentioned.

The only improvement of the GK3 (Pro) over the GKtwo seems to be the noticeably increased print speed, mainly due to the more powerful UV COB light source, something that is not addressed in this video nor FauxHammer's one. But the lack of any force sensor is puzzling, not only because it protects the LCD from braking due to small unseen debris in the vat, but especially considering the new groundbreaking time-saving invention by Anycubic, that FauxHammer aptly calls "Dynamic Lift Height".

To sum it up, my opinion is this printer is overpriced and stripped of features.

Having watched both your video & that of Fauxammer i can honestky say I'm shocked at the lack of progress in these machines over the GKTWO! I soent 2 weeks deciding between the GKTWO & the Reflex RS. So when this launch was announced, i did wonder if I'd regret my choice of the RS. Having watched these videos I'm glad i bought what I did

I still see no reason to upgrade from my GKTwo which i absolutely love. Btw Greedy, seeing all the resin splatters across the front of the heygears has my ocd in overdrive😂. I've had my GKTwo for a little over a year and it still looks as clean as when i got it. Scrape that stuff off on a separate bench lol

cancled my gk3 ultra, to get this, and desided to just wait for the saturn 16k model as it has a heated vat aswell.. (i kinda need a heated vat)

After watching the problems with the GKthree and the size downgrade I will gladly take my money and buy more GKTwos.

Ah so they do launch quite a bit cheaper than the GkTwo. In my opinion not the best idea. That probably explains how more plastic was used etc. I think honestly I'd still prefer the GkTwo over these new ones. More resolution seems kinda irrelevant past the 8k from what I've seen (like the layer lines I see are mostly coming from the z resolution anyways which won't change). And on the other hand I don't care about the resin refill just more parts to break (as you've seen) and a bigger mess. A smaller screen is a big drawback, too, and I don't see any features on these that I would really like. Maybe have some power loss resume or something but the GkTwo makes me so happy and has everything I really need. I hope they keep making parts for them for a long time. :D Maybe the GkFour will be better again with that better screw and a normal release film and all combined into one.

I think they dropped the ball on this release. I think They’ve unfortunately become like other 3d printing brands. When gk two came out I remember was a huge step in innovation. I was going to get a gk three ultra by end of this year but after all faults and delays I’m going for anycubic m7 max as this release of these machines and the way they’ve handled go three ultra release has left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. By the way I still love my gk two and recommended it to everyone.

I've hot a diorama I'm working on, has part of the nostromo deck included, question is what colors would you suggest for under all the alien stuff.

Can you print more engineering type models? Or car/truck trailers railway wagons I really wanna see how this printer copes the auto supports on thesetypesof models. Thank you if you can.

I finally downloaded this new version today, for the last two months I've been using the beta software and everything has been a failed print since then, I asked through the support tickets and they said the beta stopped getting updated and i should stop using it, I'm surprised they didn't put anything out publicly. went from version 1.3 to 2.3.3....

I appreciate that you're one of the only people testing different resins. But I'd like to see some sort of consistant metric we can use to asses one resin vs another. Maybe pick a single model to use every time, try dropping it off a table etc so we we have a benchmark for how flexible/brittle each one is.

I used your code -thanks! Unfortunately their flash sale resins were sold out even before 5 minutes after 6. I know because I had them in my cart along with the RS and Pulse module and it said insufficient stock!

I got a Photon Mono 2. Died in under 3 months. Maybe after 25 prints. Luckily Amazon took it back even outside the return window. The Z axis started making a horrible racket and skipping. I recently considered a different anycubic model and there are complaints of the same thing. I have a Saturn 2. Solid printer but i have a hard time with lots of failed prints. Lots of people having problems with the newish Saturn 4 and Mars 5 lines. I think my next one will be a GKtwo.
