I really like hearing you talk about technique and welder settings on the various projects. As an amateur hobby welder it’s obvious now I am running too cold. I know machines vary but this was great information.

One blessing here in New Mexico is our "rust" is you guys' patina. I've seen things from Ohio East that just amaze me how quick mother nature will reclaim a frame with salt helping out.

I remember one time a customer brought in a usb flash drive for us to cnc, and it turned out that the part was a Glock seer back plate. Needless to say we refused to mill his part and it turns out a year later the feds kicked his door in and now he's sitting in a federal prison with all his buddies that were involved in ghost guns. Moral of the story : always know what you are working in it modifying. Because it could come back to bite you in the ass

Rust Buster makes frame repair panels that will result in a frame stronger than factory. It is a lot of cutting, fitting, and welding. A new truck is $50k on the low end, and they are trash.

This channel is kinda like going to welding school and at the same time, getting experience. Figuring things out is the key to becoming busy. I've been welding for 43 years, and you never stop learning. Thanks for the great videos.

Hell i’ll weld rusted frames. I just make em sign a waver and tell them welding to rusty crap doesnt make it any better than rusty crap with a piece of metal welded on it.. but i’ll take a long c channel and cut it with a chop saw at the frame angles then bolt and weld it over the old frame.. an easy 400$ plus materials..

I have figgered out the hard way that the most valuable skill there is indeed is knoiwing when to turn down a job.

I do collision repair in ohio. I get asked to patch frames, rockers, cab corners and wheel arches often. Not happening. Especially the frames.
