I'm pickin' up what your puttin' down, I remember when I bought my first big Miller machine and it was a big hit so yeah, this new wave of import equipment is a Godsend for those getting started. That 6013 beads look fantastic. I’ve stopped welding for awhile but just got into our new house and I got my outlets and breakers and stuff from my storage unit installed so I can run the mig 200 and my arc 50 on 220, my 200 likes 6013 like right around 97 amps ish, runs super smooth there. Yea I ran the tripping breakers game long enough at the storage unit I had to get a generator I can’t stand that crap

We all learn something every day. Beautiful repair welds, bud! That machines had the crap beat out of it, I bet pushing with the side of the bucket. That'll torque hell out of that baseplate. Well done!

Bolts are loose going up through the turntable bearing into that main plate. Upgrade would be longer bolts with hard spacers for more load stretch. Suggest the owner do that upgrade or at least replace and re-torque the bolts in the swing dive area. Good job on the weld repair!

I didn’t see it, when you said to look, I was looking at the weld, I totally missed it. I can tell that not seeing that bothered you. Like you said, at least someone saw it before any further damage was done. Great job

Do you use an air arc gouge and a needle scaler ? That is really a tough , tough area to reach into it . Great Job !

MakingmistakeswithGreg did some videos recently about running machines on generators/120V power. Basically the cheaper machines are less efficient and rely on the breaker's magnetic trip it to momentarily pull more than its stated trip value. More efficient machines stay within the 20A rating of the breaker for the same output amps.
