Nice modification good way to use up old stock so it doesn’t sit there and go to waste. Thanks for sharing. Thanks for your time. Cheers from Nova Scotia. A merry Christmas to you and Tina
Thanks for the tip on the tip modification/repurpose. Makes a great stocking stuffer 🎅🛍️ .. All the best of the season to you and yours CB. Have a Happy Merry Christmas🌲
I think those black ones are fiberglass...I saw some recently on Amazon that were ceramic but I've never used a ceramic one before other than for TIG. Thanks for watching and commenting 😉
As for running contact tips larger than the wire you’re running, I do that all the time for Aluminum MIG. You go through a lot fewer tips that way. Merry Christmas C.B. and Miss Tina!
Those 14H-35 tips are what i use in my tweco #2 gun which is the heavy duty gun they sell for the arccaptain 200 thats what i have on mine with the 15' cable
Tell more...who sells it?...I thought I saw a 15' Yeswelder on Amazon that would fit a MIG 200 but ARCCAPTAIN tells me they have no plans to make a 15' gun. I'm still testing what they sent me and will continue beating hell out of it until it fails
So are you saying we get a video of you struggling to weld magnetic pipe 😂 I've had some that's just about unweldable but I got it done with what I had.
Love your video's. I have the Arccaptain MIG 200. I would like to install a longer cable for my gun it came with the standard 9 or 10 foot lead, What 12 or 15 foot cable do you suggest to use with this machine? Thanks.
I'd like to have a 15 foot gun for wire welding also and I have asked ARCCAPTAIN about it...I was told that they don't have any immediate plans to make one that is longer than the 10 foot guns they have out now. I think I saw a 15 foot gun from Yeswelder on Amazon that had the euro connection and it may fit on the MIG 200 but I haven't got one of those and tried it for myself. I had a comment from a viewer who said that he had a 15 foot gun for his and I asked where he got it and what brand it was but I haven't heard back on that yet. I can't afford to buy things just to try them so I gotta work with what they send me. If I find out anything more about a longer gun I'll definitely spread the word on the channel...stay tuned. As far as you using the word "cable" I'm assuming you know that you can buy welding cable in any length you want and adapt it to your machine for stinger and ground for stick welding...in this case when you said cable I was at first assuming that you were talking about your MIG gun.
Yea those cheesemaster whips those mainly flux machines suck ass. I been thru 2 of em I think. Now the upgraded whip you can get for the mig 200 now that’s the deal
I wonder if ArcCaptain is the type of company that wants to keep selling a lot of consumables, or if they will take your advice and beef up their consumables? Nice job.
What they are using now works great for the intended purposes of the home mechanic or hobby welder that their equipment is built for...if they beef it up then they are gonna need more money for it and that defeats the purpose....they market their equipment to the people who cannot afford heavy duty stuff from Miller, Lincoln, or ESAB. As an ARCCAPTAIN affiliate and someone who welds for a living I'm pushing the machines far passed what they should be used for...but they are hangin' right in there
Smart idea man, turning unused tools into a money and time saver. Always impressive.
Thx 👍
Great video CB

Great modification!

Great mod! I did the same thing on a small Lincoln mig gun so it would accept larger Miller tips that I had on hand.

Question- Did cutting off the diffuser length mess with the liner length?
Liner is behind the diffuser....cutting it at the tip has nothing to do with the length of the liner
That was interesting didn't know that you could that
😁
I've done that to some I had
😁

Great idea. Are the tips from the Tweco on your 350P?
What is a 350P?
@@NBSWELDINGI thought the tips might be from a Millermatic 350P.
@jheissjr no.... never had one
So are you saying we get a video of you struggling to weld magnetic pipe 😂 I've had some that's just about unweldable but I got it done with what I had.
