This is the way to go. Use an existing car and put a new battery in it. I do suppose it would be even better if you could put a new and more efficient motor in there aswell. But that would be a huge job

$10,000 for a replacement battery is crazy expensive. Who is going to spend that on a car worth $3,000? Theres a ton of older leafs for sale. Perfectly good cars that are being sold cheap because its unaffordable to replace the batteries. Please figure out how to lower the price of the batteries you sell. If you can make them more affordable, more people will buy them, and you will sell a lot of batteries. Need to get the price down to $5,000 for the original KWH battery.

Thanks for the video. My car 2018 MXP, is out of warranty, but still has the battery and DU warranty. Is this failure covered under the drive unit warranty or has Tesla cited some sort of loop hole for those who've experienced it?

Can you just pull out the metal tube and seal off the coolant for the rotor altogether? I always drive in chill mode and have drops on my speed sensor after only 90.000km on my remanufactured LDU.
