Some of the examples of the medieval pieces you said, are actually early Renaissance pieces. Cimabue's painting is a good a example for a medieval art style. The last example you said is from Gentile Da Fabriano who made the piece in 1423, which is considered early Renaissance

The model for this painting and many others was Adele Bloch- Bauer. After the war Klimt's paintings were kept in Austria. Adele's niece fought in court to get them. She was successful in at least one being returned to the family.

It should be noted the renaissance began in the middle ages itself and is in between medieval and modern art. What people usually call 'medieval' is Gothic style, but the medieval period can be divided just as much as the modern period - Romanesque, Gothic and Byzantine are the three main style groups, and there's a bunch of other subdivisions. Northern Gothic is pretty different from International Gothic or Sicilian art.
