We got new neighbors several years back and they have a pretty large family - Our garden was raided every night I believe - the last year we had one we didn't get anything out of it, seriously, nothing - everything was stolen - we haven't had a garden in years now. Busy busy busy .... love how the chickens 🐔 worked right in while you were describing what they did. I made a couple of those bucket traps with the flipping lid but I find the old board spring trap with peanut butter bait the most effective, but watch the fingers it's hurts when they go off on the fingers lol. The chickens love garlic lol. Great seeing the kids involved. Great parade , that pot pourie ( spelling probably wrong lol) sound like an awesome idea all natural. We have one of those Christmas tress my wife use to do ceramics years ago and made them lol. Great evening with the kids , and yeah plans have a way of not going as planned at times lol., great family life and you're doing an awesome job in so many respects , hope you have an awesome week.

Any personal ties to Michigan? I’m 6 generation to the Thumb of the Mitten State, as some came here to open this country up. Family Homestead is outside of Milton, where the cousins still live!

I used to spend a lot of time in your area years ago. I drove to quinte to fish walleye , summer and also winter on the ice. Very nice area ....for southerners. 😀👍
Rats like water, mice don't care.if you put water in the bucket, make sure it's enough to drown. If you put feed/grain in it, just enough to attract them. Old houses are a treasure. I live in one too.
Them bucket traps are awesome for mice but rats don't go for the ones I got was going get that ratinator cage trap. It's expensive but if gets rid of them nasty rats I think it well be worth it
ok, had to pause the vid to ask since its the second time ive seen it. Do you know what that rosette type thing in your pantry ceiling is? It looks like an old chimney pass through for a parlor stove in days gone by? Thanks for the vid!
@@mrpbright it’s a vent so that the heat can rise upstairs. They’re original to the house and that’s how the heat from the woodstove gets up there easier!
Even in the countryside, there are sketchy folks. So I run a farm store in Michigan, and last fall, i got a great deal on cell phone game cameras. Sounds like you need them more than I do to keep watch on your property. I would send them to you if you want to DM me your address.

where your chickens are out in the open have you had problems with hawks killing the chickens. love your energy lady, do not think the goat flew away
