Te Amo Nicky❤❤❤
Great song, lots of memories of this track. Don't listen to it much anymore because it's a very emotional song for me.
Que temazo.El menos es mas.Higher.💫🍄
Just a fantastic song and puts a lot off today's stuff to shame!
WWWOW!!!
Trippy. Definitely cool!
Lyrics: Hey, Mr. Tree Do you remember me? I used to sit on your knee, Mr. Tree. Long, long ago we used to play in the snow, you know We would bend when the wind would blow, Mr. Tree. Won't you help me? I've been locked out of harmony. Please, please, save me. I'll be here for eternity. You wait too long. Now I don't know my right from wrong. I know some day they'll be alone, Mr. Tree. Now, I must go. I'll be back in a day or so. Don't look worried. I think you know, Mr. Tree. I'll be here for eternity. You wait too long. Now I don't know my right from wrong. I know some day they'll be alone, Mr. Tree. I said, hey, Mr. Tree. Do you remember me? I used to sit on your knee, Mr. Tree. Mr. Tree Mr. Tree

Three thousand thistles/10
Oh yes love ❤️ this 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈😎😎😎😎🌈🌈🌈😎
This PreDates Black Sabbath or King Crimson!
Is this their only song? The lyrics and melody are amazing
They recorded a cover to Mrs. Gillespie’s Refrigerator and did a few more demos
Take some LSD and listen to another world,a dark side to happy things or places you want to go.
amazing punk lyrics for the time
Love this song! If you're not familiar with The Chesterfield Kings, check them out. They covered this tune back during the mid 80s garage revival. "Stop" and "Don't Open 'til Doomsday" are my favorite 80s LPs from them. Later (with a slightly different line-up), they released "The Berlin Wall of Sound" which was really raw hard rock. Many years later (around 2000???), they released "Psychedelic Sunrise" and got more back to their roots. Another great LP! Also, check out The Satelliters from Germany. I didn't care for their earliest 3 or so LPs, but everything after that has been fantastic. One of the best! Their LP "Hashish" is a top ten fave of mine after listening to music for 50 years. "What's Up With Timothy Dee"...... "Sexpolsive"...... "More of the Satelliters"...... are more great albums.
I can’t believe how much the dead Kennedy’s sound like this song!
Played this for my 21 year old son. He loved it when the air raid horn came on.
I can hear the Beatles in this song
yes!
yes!
Keith Moon type drums technique !!!!!!
Someone from King Crimson must have been listening. They closed out their early shows with Mars played on the mellotron and an air raid siren hidden under the stage. By the time of the Plumpton festival they stopped using the siren. But Mars was included in their live performances at least until the Detroit show in December 1971. Someone should compile a box set on The Origins of Progressive Rock, showing its connections to late date psychedelic pop. Mike Giles even ended Mars the same way!
Thanks for making the connection.
Both Robert Fripp and Michael Giles were in Giles, Giles & Fripp before KC playing a similar sort of psychedelic pop so I reckon there’s a connection
The timeline of the Mars riff is something like: Sep 1918 - Adrian Boult conducts **Holst's Mars, Bringer of War Jul 1953 - The Quatermass Experiment miniseries premieres, with *Mars* as its theme song, is huge hit with young boys Jun 1965 - Bowie's (an explicit Quatermass fan) project The Lower Third closes their shows with a guitar rendition of Mars, no recordings exist Sep 1967 - Sands uses an electric guitar Mars for half of their anti-war Listen to the Sky Sep 1967 - Family uses a very short bit of Mars for Scene Through the Eye of a Lens Mar 1968 - The Attack is dropped by their label and doesn't complete their album Roman God of War Oct 1968 - ex-The Attack member John Cann's Andromeda repurposes unused songs, including the Mars-based Return to Sanity for John Peel Nov 1968 - John Peel broadcasts Return to Sanity, and Andromeda records a full album including even more of Mars, but album is not released (though you can find the demos now). Nov 1968 - Scottish band Writing on the Wall records the heavily Mars-based Shadow of Man for John Peel Nov 1968 - ex-Sands members record pop album with Deep Purple - does their Listen to the Sky come up? Dec 1968 - John Peel broadcasts Shadow of Man Apr 1969 - British government honours Holst conductor Boult's 80th birthday to much fanfare Jun 1969 - Andromeda re-records album with Return to Sanity Jul 1969 - King Crimson opens for a massive Rolling Stones show and closes with a thunderous guitar version of Mars, possibly played at earlier shows? Aug 1969 - Black Sabbath (last show as Earth) plays Black Sabbath, a deconstruction of Mars Aug 1969 - Deep Purple performs Child in Time, which has a notable passage from Mars. Sep 1969 - Deep Purple records a symphonic version of Child in Time* Sep 1969 - Andromeda finally releases Return to Sanity Oct 1969 - Black Sabbath records Black Sabbath Oct 1969 - Writing on the Wall releases the album with Shadow of Man Apr 1970 - King Crimson release a deconstructed Mars as The Devil's Triangle Jun 1970 - Deep Purple release studio album with Child in Time Mar 1972 - Jerusalem release Hooded Eagle, which utilizes the Mars riff. Mar 1980 - Diamond Head record Am I Evil, heavily drawing on the Mars riff. Mar 1982 - Metallica begin playing Am I Evil (and then you've also got Dead Kennedys in 1980, King Diamond in 1982, Savatage in 1987, Nile in 1996, Symphony X in 1997, Bathory in 2001, Gorgoroth in 2002, Judas Priest finally gets around to it 2008 and I'm sure there's more)
My Husband is Mark Loomis! Enjoy ❤️👍
Underrated group. Love this track.
at the end of don’t go away it ends with “this copy of remember you is dedicated for you !”
Music with attitude! Love the hard edge sounds. Conformity stifles creativity. First listened to this on a Rhino Nuggets four cd compilation, "British Artyfacts...."

A cover version is needed
The Chesterfield Kings from Rochester NY covered this gem in the mid 80s garage punk revival. I think it is from the LP "Stop" or "Don't Open ctil Doomsday". Both great albums by the way.
this is NOT the chocolate watchband but infact two of the albums engineers bill cooper & richie podolor!!!!
