Greatr song indeed! I know that Dutch garagerockers the Ace-Tones did a pretty cool live version of this, app. 10 years ago; they did it a bit faster but with all the Bach-organisms included :-) Any others who did a version of it?? Too bad they never released it!
This has always been one of my favorite obscure bands of all time. Does anyone know what Benson Blake and Lee Dudley are up to these days? I love their Bob Dylan cover (It Takes a Train to Laugh...). They actually do it much better than Dylan! If you love Phluph, you should check out a similar 60's band, July. Their Dandelion Seeds and Jolly Mary are on youtube.
@@ThePaperSun yeah I hear that too. But what does be say right after that? It bugs me, I have no idea! Almost sounds like "with his streak of grey, and he's very happy" or something. No clue.
Great keyboards -- pure psychedelia in a classical mode. I haven't heard this one in decades. Thank you, for posting this. Cheers!
I took lessons from John Pell in college. I brought up Phluph one day and he just started laughing.
Organ dominated gem, the best from this Boston band.

I used to have this album!!!!Great song!
Me too! Took me a long time to find this because I couldn't remember the band's name, but once I saw the album cover....Back to my early teens!
I actually still have a copy of this album. A bit worn and a couple skips...
I knew these guys. From. "The Rat" in Kenmore square. Good friends all. John and Lee were so great. I was a huge fan. What happened to Gary????

In memory of Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung
Anybody know the lyrics to the chorus. "What ever happened to doctor mind, with his streak of something?" Always wondered what he sang at that part.
I always heard "streak of grey", symbolizing wisdom.

@@lukeswain1752 I think it's "very high pay".
