It's kind of shocking how little we actually know about omori's early years. With how Tako appeared in the original comics, I figured she'd have a fair amount of info about her, but it just kinda isn't there. The game changed so much in development and I only just realized how much we don't know about the earlier versions. I think the reason Tako was mostly removed could have to do with the characters being aged down a fair bit, since the omoriboy comics were uhhh... certainly something. But if that's the case, I don't know what makes the slime sisters any different or why they made the cut. They don't have quite as personal ties with Omori, but they are essentially the same type of characters *visually.*

Honestly if there's any character that's dead from any game that I'd want to see alive MARI takes the 1st place. I honestly belive that she's one of the most beautifully written characters ever. Yes I know that she's basically just a person that cares for everyone, but I want her to be alive in the game so badly. Of course that would require the entire story of the game to be re written, but something of a story where idk BASIL dies and she tries to pull SUNNY (or just everyone) out of his depression after losing such a close friend would be an even more touching story than the one we have in the game.

While this is an older video, the beach area has 6 photographs scattered about, where interacting with them scribbles them out. In one of the key drop rooms, it depicts 6 crossed out photographs in Basil's room, that OMORI is willing to sacrifice every happy memory that sunny has to protect sunny, which is obviously a theme of the game; just that it OMORI is willing to destroy any fond memory of Sunny's if it gets too entangled with the truth for him to bear.

If I was in this situation forgiveness is out the window Cuz there is no forgiveness after that you made me think that someone I care about killed themselves because I didn't do good enough just to figure out 4 years later No it was their brother who killed them What the hell am I forgiving!!?

i MERELY beat humphrey. everyone was toast, omori was 1hp and 0 juice, I WAS STRESSSINNGGGG , literally been trying to beat him for the past 2 hours 😭😔💔

Something i don't see talked about with the reactions are the _actual_ in character thought processes in the moment, not just the totality of their path to forgiveness. This is why i don't think hero would dare lay an aggressive mark on sunny. He is simply not the kind of person to come to anger like that and the only time he did was through months of heavily repressed emotions in a moment that was likely traumatic for him. That's not to say he would truly forgive them both right away, though. I think hero would initially comfort and "forgive" sunny and basil. He knows they've suffered as much as him if not more and knows that mari would want them to stick together, not to mention how he would also want to avoid the mistakes he still made long ago. It would only be _after_ sunny leaves that the gravity of what they did starts getting to him. He'd feel at least some level of resentment for what they did and even resent himself for daring to feel that way. He would attempt to keep it all inside but it would likely end up in another kel moment, probably with aubery or basil or even sunny if he ever visits. I do think hero would forgive them 100%, but only after coming to terms with HIS feelings.

I’d wager Basil’s tendency to get overly attached to things is directly tied to his parents being absent. Whether they died, disappeared, or are just always away for work, their absence might explain why Basil is so anxious and clings to the things and people he has, for fear of losing them like he lost his parents.
