ROS2 Navigation -- nice job Ben. Thanks for saving some spots for the robot! Great commentary and teaching from Rodrigo. Loading parameters to ROS ecosystem is cool.
Nice work Ben, and great questions from Rodrigo. The +/- angle laser measurements with an error measurement and a PD controller sounds like na excellent idea. Servo control would improve tracking. 👏 I like to think that after the presentation the robot finally found its desired stopping position.

Thank you theConstruct for facilitating. Solid work Shivesh. The moving obstacles can cause problems. Needs the local planner. Facilitator points out ROS2 .yaml uses what is in the build environment, so it must be repeated. (ROS1 links directly).
Nice job showing the local cost map and using that to avoid obstacles. Clean robot control. [Nice explanation on how in simulation (0,0,0) matches for AMCL and odom]. Good mentoring from Rodrigo!
Nice presentation Mohammad, you answered questions well. The demo was efficient. Impressive job Rodrigo in steering the conversation! We need more funding for theConstruct to make an asymmetrical environment. And a drone lab!
Shaharyar was well-prepared -- working demo, and overview slides. He was able to respond quickly to missing panda installation.. Good point on the ROS published TF from Rodrigo! Thanks for turning this into a teaching moment.
Thanks for making slides and explaining your challenges Hernando. Good to see the Robot make a measured lap. Note that center-of-mass is not center-of-rotation. Good energy from Rodrigo! The canned applause is a nice touch.
Great energy Rodrigo. Good to see your robot navigating Richie. The starship robots spent two weeks mapping campus before they started deliveries -- but it seems that the robots are continuously updating their maps. Their recovery behaviors have improved (avoiding students is hard) over the last few years, and the robots are moving faster than at the beginning. Puddles still give them some trouble.
Thanks Utkarsh Gupta, it was nice to see how you used parameters to load the localization goals automatically. Rodrigo, thanks for an insight into robot_localization (and the crowd applause was a nice touch).
Nice recovery Mariem, and a clear explanation! Thanks for making the slides to explain your learning path. Also, nice teaching style Rodrigo -- it is impressive how you can tie insights into the the workings of ROS 1 & 2 and turn these into learning experiences.
