I’m a 67-year old realistic optimist. Let’s talk!
I’m Rozanne Paxman and live in Utah. If you need some uplifting, stay tuned for some inspirational message about living a good life. I talk a bit about becoming older and the challenges that come with aging and living with chronic illnesses in a multi-generational home. I’m also a follower of Jesus Christ which grounds me and helps me readily love and accept other people. But really, I just enjoy talking about life, what it is, how it impacts us, and what we can do to live a good one. I'm just being myself here and am hoping to meet some nice people that can relate to me. Hope you're one of them so we can become friends. 😀

How Children See Old People

Aloha 🌺 One Day at a Time. I live in wonderful neighborhood with wonderful neighbors. My yard is filled with flowers, ti, flora & fauna. Thank you for the message! Aloha 🌺🥰💖
Sounds wonderful!
I both agree and disagree with you. *Agree* with you about the messages of Yeshua. *Disagree* with you about the messages of Yahweh, who was _no_ god. Read the bible properly and research paleo-contact.
I believe that everyone has the right to worship who, what, and where they may. As for me, I believe in God, the Eternal Father, his son, Jesus Christ (our Redeemer), and the Holy Ghost. Together, they make up the Godhead.
@JustTalkingAboutLife I also believe everyone has the right to worship who and what they want. I just happen to disagree with your comment about Yahweh and Yeshua.
Perfectly said 👍 ☝️✝️🙏 Sweet gal😇
Thanks so much!
My husband and I are getting over our first case of Covid. We only tested because he lost his sense of smell. I lost mine permanently after chemo in 2001. He hasn't felt well for two weeks. For me, it's been one week, and I'm feeling much better today. I hope neither of us develop long Covid. I know people who did, and it's not easy.
Oh boy… I hope he doesn’t get it! It takes quite a while to know if you have it though because C itself can go in for a while.
Live in hope, die in despair.
What saddens me is the amount of preventable suffering which goes unaddressed in the world. The increasing poverty present even in the richest nation on earth. The unaffordable healthcare in the richest nation on earth. The increasingly unaffordable homes in the richest nation on earth. The malignant greed that is all around us. The forever wars to increase the profits for the corporate weapons manufacturers. All of this in a so called Christian, rich nation.
So true! I think a lot of people will have a lot to account for someday.
When - WHEN - will this FINALLY be available in Canada?!!! So frustrated because I bought the iPhone and AirPods with EVERY ASSURANCE BY APPLE STAFF that I could just go ahead and get started. Wrong!!! STILL waiting!
I'm sorry, but I have no idea. I'm not associated with Apple at all. I'm just a user that's sharing my personal experience with the AirPods Pro 2 as hearing aids. Hope you can use them in Canada soon!
@ Oh, really I was just on a rant! It is just a current frustration - but, I really do appreciate your assessment video! It sounds very promising & I do look forward to the day some sleepy bureaucrat picks up a pen and signs off on this north of the 49th!
He is the Way, the Truth & the Life!! Thanks for sharing these truths, Friend ❤ God bless you♥️

Great words, thanks for posting this.
You are so welcome!
It is so hard to be positive when you read the news and look at social media a lot. I have to limit it. So much of it isn't real anyway. Good video! I enjoyed hearing your thoughts.
I’m so glad you liked it Laura!
I absolutely love that you have spoken about this. He walks along side of us in this life although it’s a broken world we have the hope in Christ Jesus. Praise God 🙌🏼🙏🏽
Yes, He does! I can’t imagine life without Him!
I appreciate this message of wisdom and truth so much. I think steadiness is an appropriate word to help us to walk our path on Earth. To keep on going, we must keep on growing in the Lord. Your authenticity is appreciated. - Belinda
Thanks so much! I’m so glad you enjoyed it and appreciate your support.
Rozanne, I love this video so much! Thank you for sharing, your transparency and being so genuine ❤ great advice❤❤
Thanks, Dusti! I’m so glad you enjoyed it.❤️❤️❤️
There was a good article in BYU magazine a while ago. It was called “Let Joy Find You”. It has so much good info. I think we must be twins ha ha. Research has shown that we feel more joy working towards a goal than when we finally reach it.
That sounds like a good one. 😀
I just got the AirPods Pro 2. For the very same reasons you mentioned. I was looking on UA-cam to figure out how to use them and I saw your video. As I listened to you I thought she is so nice and so real. Then you talked about R.S. How did I have that feeling that you were like a good friend when I didn’t even know you. Now I’m subscribed to your channel. Looking forward the getting to know you better and learn from your wisdom.
It’s so nice to meet you! I look forward to getting to know you too! Thanks for saying hi. 👋
Great video. I enjoy getting older because I love that as we get older We Don't Care what other people think. 😜😃😁 I'm 64 and I wear what is comfortable and I don't care that it's not the latest fashion. I have always been the basic, classic, boring wardrobe type of person. T-shirt, cardigan sweaters, and blue jeans. I found Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda straight leg jeans fit my body type the best and that's the only brand I've been buying for probably 15 (maybe 20) years now. I love comfortable clothing! Comfortable flat shoes. No high heels for me. Your hair looks very nice and neat and if you like it and it's easy care, that's the Best! 😃✨
Not caring what other people thing about what we wear is one of the top benefits of getting older! Your wardrobe sounds comfortable. 😀
I'm so glad you're here. Thanks for watching. Do you have any thoughts about this topic? What does a good life mean to you?
A good life to me is Jesus. Slowing down, living simply, not chasing time and be hurried. Forgiveness gives us the freedom of not carrying around that yucky feeling inside. It is for us, not the person who wronged us. Good video! I enjoyed it! I hope you are having a good week! ❤
@ I’m glad you enjoyed the video! I like what you said. Slowing down really helps.
Such a great message! Glow up to be a better version of whoever you are!
Thanks so much - I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for all that you told us about your experiences. I'm thinking this might help my husband (and thus me also).
I'm glad you found it helpful! I hope he tries them out!
I have mild to moderate hearing loss in one ear and own regular Apple Air Pods but they keep falling out of my ears. I have tried every size they offer but I can only wear them around the house because I’m afraid of losing them. This is why I hesitate to buy these hearing aid version. 😕
The new AirPods Pro 2 for a little differently in the ear than the older version. I don’t know if that would help you. I also understand that sometimes, getting some aftermarket pads help because they are slightly different. Maybe you could try that with your current AirPods. Aftermarket pads are available at Amazon. Hope that helps!
My MIL refuses to wear her traditional hearing aids and I don’t know why. Wondering to myself if she would be OK using these. She already has an iPhone. Will any iPhone work with these?
Yes, any iPhone will work as long as it is updated to iOS 18.1 or above. It is best to have the latest version installed. She also must have AirPods Pro 2.
Curious. If your phone mic is always on do you notice more and more commercial ads based on your conversations?
No, not really. I wouldn’t say the AirPods Pro 2 affect it. It is more having Siri active because Siri is always listening to what you say.
Thank you for doing this video I may just get these
You’re so welcome!
I have the AirPodsPro first gen. When the new Pro2 came out I updated the software and took the hearing test and started using the Hearing Aid features with the Pro1s. It works pretty good. I was surprised it worked at all. A little weird sometimes, but I understand that hearing aids are a little weird too. I had a test at Costco and have moderate hearing loss. The tech there really wanted to sell me the Phillips 9050, which are good aids, I have read. My question for you, if you get this, is do you think there is a real difference between the Pro1 and Pro2 Would it be worth it to switch? Sounds like you have had the earlier version too? I have the original AirPods, and the Pro1. And I bought my husband the Pro1 as well. He doesn’t like having them in his ears and switched to headphones. So I have backups already!
The AirPods Pro first gen can't be used as hearing aids. (I have two pairs of that model that are great for just listening to music.) That means that when I heard about the new hearing aids capability, I had to buy new AirPods, because they must be AirPods Pro 2 to work as hearing aids. In other words, Pro1 can't be used for this. You'll have to have some AirPods Pro 2. I hope that helps. (Sorry if that seems redundant!)
Your video has confirmed my experience. I ended up buying the AirPods after wearing hearing aids for almost 20 years. During that time I had three different pairs of aids. I hated hearing aids as the sound was terrible and I couldn't have a conversation is a noisey environment such as a restaurant. I had many adjustments to the aids, to no avail. I set the AirPods up and actually used the hearing test from my audiologist. Wow. I was actually able to have a conversation with my wife in a restaurant. And the sound quality is so much better than my expesive hearing aids. I ended up buying a second pair of AirPods on sale and so battery life is not an issue. They work seamlessly with my Mac, iPhone and iPad; switching between them like magic. Recently I decided to wear my hearing aids to a restaurant and as expected I could not hear the conversation. Back to my AirPods. So now I have had my AirPods for three months and am a happy camper.
Thank you so much for your comment. I have been on the fence about buying a second pair, but have been frustrated with the battery life because I back up with my other pair of hearing aids and the sound is so much worse. After reading what you said, I ordered my second pair. It will be here today. (Everything you said about the benefits are true for me too.)
@@JustTalkingAboutLife I wear them all day long; often 15 hours or more. I keep the second set in the case in my pocket. When I get the low charge indication, I just pop in the second set and put the discharged set into the case from the second set and they are fully charged within an hour. When set #2 is low, I just pop the now charged first set into my ears and now set #2 is reunited with their case. Easy. I just set up both sets the same way. Once I found the right size ear tips after wearing them for a week or so, I ordered spare tips form apple. BTW, the noise cancellation feature is fantastic if you want to listen to your phone withoutside noise distractions. And if you misplace either the case or an AirPod, the "Find My" app will lead you to the errant device. What is not to love about these things??
I started using earbuds when using my phone because I was unable to hear clearly. It was so nice to hear clearly it led me to get my hearing checked and got hearing aids at Costco. Mine (Rexon) cost about $1500 and they work great and nobody can see them and they are bluetooth to my phone.
This is very interesting. I don't have hearing loss but have used APP2 for over 2 years and they work good. I don't feel like the default transparency volume is loud enough and have a bigger ear so they fall out more often. But the sound quality is really good. I can see how these would be great for anyone with hearing loss. I'm glad they work for you.
Yes, the sound quality is great! I've read that sometimes, if you buy another brand of the replacement pads, they will fit a little better. You might want to look at Amazon and see if you can find something.
@@JustTalkingAboutLife Yes I bought aftermarket ones and they seem better. Thanks for the tip.
@I’m glad they helped!
Wise, lovely words, I totally agree with!!! Can only be spoken from someone with grey hair😉. Just be yourself in your own unique way. I was for many years a teacher with children of 6, 7 years young. I wanted them to have confidence in themselves and that it was alright to make faults. Many times I told them, that as everyone was the same it would be a very dull world. We would be wearing the same clothes, we would like the same things. Winning games or sport would be nothing when everone is the same...there would be no winner. Embrace our differents; it's colouring our world.
Exactly! Your students were lucky to have you as their teacher. So glad you enjoyed the video!
I am a former trumpet/horn player, and I can hear ghost octaves of notes. Meaning I may not really hear the notes during hearing test. If I go to an ear, nose, and throat doctor, they can do random notes.
Sounds great!
I absolutely relate to you and I agree - I want my 2025 glow up to be internal and eternal. Ill be 57 this year, and I'm a cancer survivor. I like comfy clothes and I'm embracing my silvery gray natural highlights! Two years ago I lost all of my hair, so yay for hair! I enjoy you so much. Glad I found you.
You sound amazing - I am so glad you found me. You are an inspiration!
I am so glad that you are still here almost 30 years later. I never would have "met" you if you had taken your life. So I am thankful that God stopped you.
Me, too! That was a watershed moment for me and I was never the same afterwards. Even though I knew God loved me, after that I KNEW He loved me, supported me, and had a plan for me that would let me come back to Him someday if I had faith in Jesus Christ, repented, and obeyed His commandments. Later, I was filled with regret for what had happened and was afraid God was mad at me. He taught me that no, He wasn't mad. He was proud of me because I had faced one of the toughest challenges one can face (and temptations) and I resisted it. I was SO relieved and rejoiced in His support and mercy. I'm so glad I met you, Laura. I appreciate you!
Love your hair!
Thanks!
Thank you! This video really helped me. I have mild to moderate hearing loss and have been researching the OTC hearing aids that are available. I may try the AirPod Pro 2 to see if they are the right ones for me.
You’re so welcome. I hope they work for you!
❤❤❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
You are just fine the way you are!! You do you and do not compare with anyone else! I'm 69 and really do not (NOT) care what others think. God loves you and that's all that really matters.

Hi dear Rozanne, your are so sweet and I'm gonna glow up with you this year in the way you mean in! So good we are all different and unique. Was like you, always worried what other people thought of me 😢 But since spring 2024, when I succeeded to get off very terrible medicines with help from my great specialist in the hospital, I'm glowing as ME. I'm Anjo, like to be called YO, because I no that's who I am. A very tough woman who likes her hair very, very short like a man, because that's me, A tough person who struggles a lot and doesn't care anymore what others think of me ❤❤ But I try to be very kind to others and always respect them the way they are. And Rozanne, you are a beauty and a very likeable sweet person. Happy glowing new year to you, much love ❤ 🫂🙏⚘👋👋🕯🌈💖 Anjo/YO👋👋🍫🌻
Hi YO! I loved learning more about you. Good for you in getting off of those bad medicines. That can be very difficult to do. I so enjoy talking to you in the comments section. Have a wonderful year!!

Sorry I’m finding it a bit confusing why are so many people are doing 2 you tube channels?
If you start doing videos that are too unlike your first channnel’s content, it’s best to start a second channel for them. It hurts your channel if you try to put every kind of content on it because it confuses UA-cam (and potential viewers) because they understand know what your channel is about. In my case, I made a channel for these videos where just talk about various aspects often life. My main channel a Towards a Simple Life - is about home activities, family etc. I “do” things in the videos. In this talking channel, I only do sit down chats. Hope that helps!
Thanks for explaining that so well❤️
We had Covid in August of 2020. The strain that was aggressive and killing people. Husband's affected his heart. They do not understand it to this day but he is better than he was 4 years ago. It only seemed to effect my taste and smell-- lost both. Bacon still doesn't taste right or smell right. Smell started coming back in October2020. Great. But then, in December I gave 2 perms one day and they never smell good but this was terrible. After that, soap smelled bad, WATER smelled bad, most everything smelled bad. Citrus smelled like wet dog. This went on for around one and a half years. It slowly dissipated. This past August 2024, I smelled a skunk for the first time in 4 years! I hope you and the other sufferers see improvements over time.
I’m so sorry you had it during that really bad time. How scary! I heard recently that it was engineered to affect our DNA which is why everyone experienced it so differently. I’ve wondered if that was true, but it would explain a lot. My Cognitive Therapist said that it headed to people’s weak spots. I don’t ever have the smelling problems but things tasted terrible for a while. I’m glad I got past that. I hope you guys start feeling better!
Rozanne, you look fantastic for 67. And your attitude is even better❤ love you
Love you too, Dusti!
Good video! For me, glowing up is a combination of being healthy, physically and spiritually. As far as appearance goes, I cut my own gray hair and get excited about buying clothes that I like at our enormous thrift shops at 90% off. This is life!😊
That is such a great outlook! I love your attitude towards fashion and keeping it fun and real! 😊 I’ve been thinking it would be fun to start shopping for clothing at thrift clothes and experiment with altering them.
I watch your other channel. I think you are perfect as you are! You are very pretty! I love overalls and New Balance! I wear a high ponytail with fun scarf type wraps… it’s just what I like. I think a glow up is having a daily purpose and enjoying the small things the day brings. Thanks for speaking up on this topic!
It sounds like we have some things in common. 😀 When my hair gets long enough, I constantly wear pony tails.
Never heard of glow up. Yes, glow up on the inside. You are perfect and unique just the way you are. Only change when and what you want to change yourself. My intention for 2025: be more loving. ♥️ Love from the Netherlands, Karin.
That’s a great intention. I like the term “intention” so much better than “resolution.”
When I hear these new words I want to roll my eyes and snigger but don’t I’ll let the young have their day, I know what’s coming to them with or without the Botox 😉 My mother and 3 sisters have all taken care of their appearance and as the youngest and now in my mid 70s I’m still not keeping up with them but oh I have fun. My hair grows fast too and if the short bob gets too long I twirl it and secure it back with a clothes peg. I use the wood ones with metal spring on my washing line and my hair. I do have some coloured ones in plastic that I have for high days and holidays! No that’s not true I use those if they are at hand. I forget I’ve got one in and go out and yet nobody has ever mentioned it, maybe it’s going to become a fashion trend? Imagine if I had a UA-cam channel I’d be inundated with suggestions to give up not just glow up ! Just you follow your decision to improve what you choose to on the inside because you’re very neat, extremely natural and decidedly charming to watch. Glow up indeed, whatever next 🙄 🤭X
I am just imagining the clothes line clips and think it sounds like so much fun. Thanks so much for being here!
Genuinely curious how your hair doesn't get caught in the springs?? Or it does but it doesn't bother you? Maybe my hair just tangles too easily but I can hardly use claw clips without it getting caught in the tines.
@@katie7748 😉The offending fall of hair is cut to below ear level so I twirl it, clip back gently into next section and it holds better than anything else I’ve used. It does catch sometimes but my hair is plentiful and I’m old so inured to pain ! Am I starting a trend 🤣
Becoming a better person on the inside is the best way to Glow Up. Not only do you begin to shine, but those around you enjoy the sunshine as well!
I love that perspective - it’s so true.
Wise words and agree with all you said👍 Only the other day I thought I would grow out my layers, I fancy a summer being able to clip or put my hair behind my ears. I'm 63 blessed that I could retire early and enjoying life doing and wearing exactly what I like how I like. Happy New Year🥂🎉turn the page and roll on 2025 x
There is definitely some advantages to being retired. I’m glad to have given away all of my business casual pants!
Your hair looks thick and healthy and you appear much younger than 67. You are “glowing” just fine!
Oh, you're so sweet. I'm glad you think so!
Absolutely love this!! I’ve been watching you for a while. I’m a 42 year old woman with an ‘old soul’ and I am sooo thankful for your encouragement, gentleness and wisdom! Love from Canada 💞 🇨🇦
