for your gummy switches put some wd40 on a Q-tip and take the cover off of the rockman and rub it on the switch sliding part. It makes the switch crispy

Its the closest thing out there if you dont have a Rockman. He did bring out some flaws,but it gets pretty close, especially if you add other pedals to boost its potential.

This is amazing. I've spent years now learning electronics and have been working on reverse-engineering the x100 to build my own. I'm waiting for admin approval of my account over on PedalPCB to compare our schematics! I have a few questions once it gets approved!

The eq changes with volume level. That rig Turned up a lot , could have too much treble . Also use a phone app spectrum analyzer to ball park the eq from an isolated track. Sounds good.

Do you still have the Magnacore set? The cello I play on now originally came with Larsen Magnacore and I really liked them. But they didn't last long. :( Send me a PM. I have a Helicore/ Jargar medium combo on my cello and it has a nice warm sound. Probably stick with that.

Sounds really great, and love the extra features and hopefully resolves the notorious scratchy issues the X-100 has. Love that the effects can be separate or together. Really appreciate RMS making these. Does it have stereo output? Around 11:43 the original seems to have a nicer presence... But maybe that's good, I don't want to sound like Boston, Leppard... To me, the RMS doesn't sound as locked in to the Boston sound, which is good.

I was lucky enough to see them in 1979 at the Texas World Music Festival. It was spectacular. It had just became dark and up out the stage comes this massive pipe organ with Tom behind it with a long fflowing cape and fog machine as he opens playing Foreplay/ Longtime. During their encore, they set the American Flag off in fireworks. Then Heart played. Concert was TKO, Sammy Hagar, Van Halen, Nazareth, Boston, Heart and Blue Oyster Cult. Quite the concert.

Sometimes I think I'm an idiot. I listened to this back when it was released and thought - yeah, that's great! Then I just recently listened to this again, but I had been listening to Hysteria earlier in the day. I had stopped right after Gods of War before I went back to work, so it was still in the back of my mind. After work, I went to relax and put on this video... and it struck me - this is a Def Leppard style song. Then of course, I had a classic face-palm moment when I noticed you were wearing various Def Leppard garments through the video. D'oh! Of course it's a Def Leppard style song, and a great one at that. It even says so in the description! How in the world did I miss that?? Now when I play this video, it immediately brings to mind Gods of War. Anywho, love the channel and all your music, especially the classical music where you are conducting. Are we going to see more of that in the future?

It's amazing that my local and biggest rock station in Canada had a hard time finding a Boston show to air. The one they finally found was less than perfect and the sound was no better. This is a pretty bang up job! 9:53

Taylor, not only did you do a great job demonstrating the sounds of this pedal, but your playing isn’t shabby at all. Give yourself more credit. I enjoy stronger outfit from the pedal versus the original X100. I had a 100 myself in the early 2000s, and I was not satisfied by how the clean tones seem to put out more than the distorted ones.

After hearing the demo, it sounds nice; and really familiar. Those are the Rockman sounds, with that bright shimmer they're known for. It's spot on, sound-wise, but it's a little _too_ bright for me.

People... The most stupid comment I read here: "I took you serious , until I heard the guitar casually being played way out of tune". I didn't hear nothin' out of tune & even if it where so what?! He's taking his time to show an awesome pedal that took years to reverse engineer. Stop being so ungrateful & thank him for his time. We're not here for his playing. I never understand why people think you need great playing in order to review gear. Go buy it yourself & put a video up.
