Played on my Agile AL-3200MCC with DiMarzio Transition pickups through a Rockman Sustainor 200, Rockman Stereo Chorus and Peavey EQ215 direct to Logic Pro X with no post-processing.
All rights belong to Boston.
Bro! That sound🔥 you nailed it!
You kick ass!!
I cant stop watching this video dude I’ve already seen it about 10 times in 2 days
Really nice job. Love this track and the entire Walk On album.
You should do more cover about Boston (especially the 1976 and 1978 albums)
Amazing Cover!!! Love your BOSTON stuff.
Very cool, Taylor!! The SX guitars come from the same place as the Agiles - Rondo Music. Just got a SX Callisto Les Paul a little over a week ago! I love it! Already done the Boston stuff with it..... OF COURSE! hahaha! Boston addicts unite!!
I spent a year listening to the Walk On album every day. Sounds great, Taylor!
Ronny Ward when Boston came out I wore out side A before I ever listened to Side B. Then every album got the same thorough listening like you did. There is jus so many great harmonies. Awesome!
@Ronny Ward. Me too! 😃 Taylor nails it! Awesome
Very good performance! Rockman's equipment and sound are great too. I also love the Album "Wlak On". Do you have the score/tab somewhere? I would like to share it with you if you don't mind.
Well now...you've definitely done your homework. Well done
Very cool. Keep rocking man..

good job kid nailed it , man you do have that 70 Boston sound ,What are you using to get that Killer sound please and thank you Alex
I have a line on a Rockman xp100a....what is a fair price for the unit? Amazing musical skills.....really enjoyed the Cello playing.....
You mean a Rockman X100? Probably got one meanwhile. The price starts from 400 in
Europe and US. Japanese sellers go crazy.
@@vangfan843 the XP100 was a programmable amplifier by SR&D Rockman.
Stunning Cover: Blown Away at how good your ears are to dub the Scholz Sound. You mind doing another Tube on the efx set up including the Amp if any used to get that sound Thanks
Tim Mungovan Closest thing is my EQ settings video. The more I read about Tom’s amps the more I’m pretty sure I’ve gotten it all wrong. But whatever.
@@dawnpoint If you read the Corporate America Insert He states that no amps were used on that album and that it was all done using a Rev 21 Double IC Sustainer. Rev 21 has a slower attack and some LF and HF notching. That said. Don't waste your time trying to duplicate the live sound with his studio sound as they are not the same. Yes similar but he is multi tracking every rhythm and lead track up to 5 times then mixes and further processed those track in the Mix.
Now here is the secret to his sound He uses a Skully 280 2 track www.google.com/search?q=Skully+280+2+track+tape+recorder&client=firefox-b-d&sa=X&nfpr=1&biw=1117&bih=481&sxsrf=ALeKk03uIdBBouVLyqPi6Nsn9scSj5DYuA:1589164570285&tbm=isch&source=iu&ictx=1&fir=NpE97_dkqjhXIM%253A%252CXqv28EmLi5drRM%252C_&vet=1&usg=AI4_-kQu8Wx3surthMDLiK1tkHx9ZCfzZw&ved=2ahUKEwjh7c2t46rpAhUtyosBHUVJBpEQ9QEwA3oECAgQCw#imgrc=NpE97_dkqjhXIM:
to literally Flange every guitar, base and Yamaha CS 70 keyboard over dub. That particular model has Plus / Minus buttons to adjust tape tension (Note the 2 Black Buttons to the left side of the Deck) which is so cool because by riding the tension controls there is no over shoot once the engineer gets used to how much slack and tension is necessary to get the Scholz sound which results in a perfect Tape Flanging process with out riding the reels. Furthermore Every track he records, he first dubs to the Sully 2 track and once he gets a take he transfers that to Linxis Synced pair of 3M-79, 24 Tracks. Reason is to minimize tape stretch from excessive over dubs and playbacks. Note on the last album that it sounds dead and lifeless in fact like shit but it is not Toms fault however he should have used a Digital Multi Track. Why because the Ampex tape he is using hasn't been made for is 25 years and after that much time the tape goes bad. He has a big stock of Ampex 209 but it was manufactured a long time ago and although he keeps it refrigerated... like any thing else after 20 years the oxide adhesion reaches entropy. I believe I may know more than any one other than Tom about his entire process. I worked in Hollywood at Westlake Studios on Beverly Blvd when the 1st Album was mixed. That is a big claim but I've spent 40 years working to get his sound. I work at it every day for hours and I'm extremely close to replicating it but then again I don't have a Skully 280 and I'm not a genus musician, arranger or producer as is Tom. If you're interested we should chat some time and I will tell you other things I've learned through out the quest. Thank Bro. Rock On..!!
Really good stuff! You nailed his tone at least to my ear. Would love to see tabs! Haha
update video on lexus gs400?
tuning would be nice to know
nvm i'm just retarded capo first fret
Half step up
Is this standard tuning?
I was wondering the same thing and I don’t think it is in standard tuning
Standard tuning but a half step up, and if you want to get dead on to the album, calibrate to A443.
