Love that ROCKMAN sound , your tone is excellent. I just bought the plug-in from AmpliTube. The original headphone amp is so expensive on eBay so I went with the AmpliTube version.
Man, you´re doing rather cool stuff. Perfect... Playing guitar for 40 years, I know what it means to nail the sound of T.S. Never managed...but you did it. By rare equipment an being a good guitar player.
Bro, this is darn near perfect! Last time I looked if someone covered this, i couldnt find anything. I never did figure out how to get the distortion generator to get the sound. Any chance you could do a video on that rockman setup?
Hey Taylor, that sounds AMAZING. Can I pick your brain on the X100? I just bought one, and it's the first time I've owned one since the 80s. What is your advice on how to go direct to PC? I'm really trying to capture the "headphones" sound I get with it, but when I try to run it into my PC (for recording) or some flat response speakers, it loses quite a bit of the crispness. If you can give me some solid advice, I'd love to give you a shout out on my channel (I have 32k subs). Thanks bro!
Your best bet is to EQ it. See if someone has posted the frequency response of your headphones and try to match it. Otherwise, you’ll just have to do it by ear. (I would guess a smiley face curve would probably get close)
@@dawnpoint Ah, I just saw your response now. I ended up simply using a 3.5mm male to male cable, and that sounded better than the 3.5mm to 1/4'" cable I initially tried it with. Also, I found that by boosting 1200hz by 2b and 3100hz by 3db makes it sound much better. :)
I just bought a rockman sustainor. I know buying equalizer pedals will improve it a lot but I’m trying to save money. Does it sound good on its own without eq?
I believe the Sustainors are pre-EQ'd, but adding additional EQ's before and after the signal will allow you much great adjustment capability to adjust your tones
Great playing as always bud! I have been a fan for the past two years. I have a question, do you have any idea of how Tom gets his live acoustic tone like in this video: ua-cam.com/video/fzegIgehkVY/v-deo.html It sounds quite eqed (probably thru rockman stuff) but do you have any tips on how i might be able to achieve this acoustic tone?
Walk On is my favorite album of all time. You rocked it!

Love the tone but Boston was Brad Delp.

The sound of america
What a fantastic statement that will live on and i am British.
Where is your mask? Your video is a half second off of the music. Surprisingly good sound out of that little kit. Good jorb.
Only half second??? I was aiming for at least 3/4....
@@dawnpoint Well, at least you did a good 'jorb'! Must be some kind of alien language. I KNEW they were here already! 😱😱👽👽
