July, 2024. Olovci, Bosnia and Herzegovina. A town which once had 220 people in 1991, which is now all but empty. Today in 2024, there are no year-round residents and only a few people spend more than a few months there per year. The Bosnian war devastated this region, and (nearly) all of the Serb residents who remained left directly after the war. 0:00 The Mission 1:30 Leaving town 4:45 Into t...

How this City Survived Four Years of Siege 🇧🇦
The Siege of Sarajevo, which began in April, 1992 would last almost 4 years, leaving over 11,000 residents of the city dead and even more wounded. During these four years, it was almost impossible to get food, supplies, weapons and people in and out of the city to the free Bosnian territory, and so a tunnel was dug under the Sarajevo airport. Bravo
they speak like that on the islands in croatia by the town of Zadar or south of there. some parts of croatia were part of itally for some years and thats why they talk like that . i was born and raised near zadar ,now in usa for 30 years
The skinniest street is in Germany Reutlingen. Its in the Guinness Book of Records.
It used to be the official Serbo-Croatian language. Guys, everyone who speaks Serbian, Croatian, Montenegrin, Bosnian, even Slovenian and Macedonian is from the same house, and that house was called Yugoslavia. And these gentlemen, the group, the friends, however you want, also use Italian. They combine.
“Serbs” are so desperate for some kind of legacy and history of their own that they claim people from 1500s before their language existed 😂😂😂 obsessed bacteria
Lot of mentalIy ill individuals from the false nation of so called serbia in this comment section 🤩🤩🤩 obsessed as usual, although I understand that it hurts to have no culture, no history, no language and nothing of their own to be proud of 😂
Yap, im from north Serbia 🇷🇸 and I'm fluent in 3 languages, and I can understand 3 more about 70%.😊
TELL ME WHY THE CROATIA FLAG HAVE THE USTASHA FLAG AND NOT THE REAL FLAG OF CROATIA??? DO YOU KNOW THAT USTASHA FLAG IS A NACI SIGN???
Smrd spotted 😂😂😂
So, i can’t see anyone told You what the little girl told You Are and then her grandpa told You She is no good 😂😂😂 She told You Are “piša” or “pišo” which is a Croatian word for that organ which a male has between his legs but in a childish Way so it is not a rude word but still not very polite to say to someone 😅 Great video. Too bad You Had such little time to Stay there. It is sooo Cool You know who Are your ancestors. I have no idea who was my great, great grandpa- šukundjed i think it would be. Many greetings from Croatia! 😊
It is Croatian language which is not broken, nor corrupted. Many Italian loanwords - they go to Italian schools, but the grammar and syntax are 100% Croatian. Ancestors of these people came some 500 years ago from southern part of Dalmatia. I’d say, the people from Dalmatian Islands (Hvar, Vis etc.) would consider them - even today - speaking a variaton of their local speach (every island and every village there has a variation of it).
Kakve veze ime ima i dont understand that;s why Balkan is mess up in head . We all Ilirian Ben don;t let them tell you something else please
Pici Ben pravo you speak good Ben No Ben it is our language Nas jezik did you forget
They are not Slavs they are Ilirian boze learn Ben learn more
❤Kako je lipo čuti naš jezik, bravo.❤
travnicki cevapi the best
Bosnians from the hills..
I'm not sure, but I think it gives us the right to claim that part of Italy. 😅
U Dalmaciji se kaže "koja je ura?" A u italiji "Che ore sono?" Dalmatinski dijalekt ima jako puno talijanskih izvedenica. Čakni gradovi i ulice izgledaju isto. Dakle, ovisi u kojem si dijelu Hrvatske.
I am Dalmatian and I was able to understand alot of those words. Croatians in 90s try to be extra and they switched alot of words trying to separate them selfs from Serbian language.
Europeans think differently, you don't want to destroy History. Tell that to Americans, they want to erase everything and then forget why we fought and why we are free now
Come to “Bonus” in Ðakovo 🇭🇷, u will be amazed
Amazing, im from Croatia and this is the first time im hearing about this
Ben, how did you find these cities and Molise people ?
bro why is it on 360p
These are nice videos to watch, can you make a vlog, discussing what started your interest in visiting the balkans
This is similar style of language what my grandfather was talking in Splitski dialect. We have a lot of words that are mix of italian and croatian. Like for example Skura , Arivat , Balanca .. But most of the words still used are on boats , Ancora , Akuzat ...
30:29 "piša" means "peepee," lmao
I love this bread ,some time i eat only bread like you and sometimes i filled it with fries potato ,or kabab or honey
So beautiful moments of magrib azan
Dalmatian lagunage
Bosnia is best country! Best people!🇧🇦🇧🇦🇧🇦
I'am Croatian but i didn't heard about this villages....yet... Thnx...
A to su Moliški Hrvati! 😊 It took me a while to grasp/translate from Italian the region name; sure we Croatians do know of this community! 😊 it was very interesting to hear the language, hvala! ❤
Spiky things on roof, probably to slow the avalanche of snow coming off roof. Used on metal roofs.
Sounds like the little girl said "bizi ca" possibly. GET LOST
Apsolutno sve. Bdw town Split ima the skinniest and the shortest street. I ne postoji srbo- hrvatski i bosanski.
Why did he get his gg grandfather’s birth certificate? He said he would share why, but I don’t think he did
There are better units but idk why they don't use them
I’d almost believe you if you hadn’t said this is in Molise… every Italian knows Molise doesn’t exist.
Ovaj seljanin ima glas kao Ivo Gregurević.❤
Excellent video diary!!!🐝 As Bosnian Serb, understood a lot if not all. These people did not talk with accent. Accent have to do with tone of pronunciation. Of course with mixing of Italian. Which makes more exotic. Italian on it self is exotic, erotic etc. “Kako stojiš” may be in old times expression for “how are u”. But today is mainly for “how are u financially”!!! “Skup”= is a word of double meaning. One is “gathering” and another one is “expensive”. Depends on shape of sentence. My mainly criticism would be turned on not asking what religious background their ancestors had. Were only catholics or were also orthodox’s. U said, that’s their coming is result of prior to ottomans. Which is very interesting. With history is not to mess up even when hearts of a men likes to go into extreme(unfortunately). Once more, I’m very grateful for such deed. Here is one such fun fact. In Italy u have a village with orthodox Albanians. My friend from high school who is from mother side Bosnian muslim and fathers side Šiptar muslim, went there to visit them because they are blood related. Their life story must be interesting to?!! If u wish to visit them, I can dig up a name of. “Бог ти помогао” 🍻
Italy would not be Italy if trains and buses are on time. 😋
There is a town called Krujë in nowday Albania , also 20 km from the sea captured in 1478 by the Turks, it is possible that they run away from the Turks to close port of Durres and then to nowday Italy to form town with almost same name Kruć also 20km from the sea on Italian side of Adriatic. There was no Croatia in 1500 and if it existed it was on the north close to Austria , not Dalmatia. They were probably catholic Serbs running away from Ottomans because language is the same. Any respectable christian kingdom on Balkans in 15th century was Hungarian, Greek , Bulgarian or Serbian. Croats are nowhere to be seen , same as Ukrainians before 20th century. Thats why people in Aquaviva Collecroce refer to their language as "our language" and as I heard in video Italians call it "Slav language" not Croatian.
Love your videos! Keep up the amazing work! Regards from a Yugoslavian in Sydney 😊
