I Started Watching Rangers Hockey Back In '09 And With Sam Rosen In The Broadcast Booth Makes NYR Hockey A Whole Lot Better. To All Of Us Ranger Fans He's Like The Jim Ross Of Hockey Minus The Cowboy Hat.

Sam was the best. There's not that many announcers that will give opposing players their roses and did it with class

Sorry to double up but Sam was the voice of our childhoods on cold winter nights dating back to the days of WWOR 9 with Phil Esposito and later the legendary collaboration on MSG with John Davidson. Regardless of his replacement an adjustment to a new voice irrespective of who it is will be difficult.

He should learn how to deflect the pucks in front of the net, like Kreider. No defensemen can move him in power play. He can be a weapon. Excited about him being a Ranger.

He’s a kid, I’m glad if anything he learned to protect himself from taking so many punches to the face, I’m a Wolfpack season ticket holder, I watched him for almost two seasons until his call up, He wasn’t a fighter in the AHL, However about 2 games before he got called up he beat the ever lovin tar outa some poor bastard and I was about 15 rows back and it was right in front of me, me & my buddies were like Holy Shizzle lol, I’m very happy for him and really hopes he succeeds, but we never looked at him as a fighter in Hartford but just a big physical kid

Here’s Trouba’s problem. He played poorly (I’m being uncharacteristically nice) in the playoffs and hurt the team far too many times. He’s also the Captain, which still blows my mind, when I look at guys like Kried’s and Trocheck. So the fans seem eager to see him move on. It’s not going to take much this season and he’ll get boooed mercilessly by the Ranger faithful for the slightest mistake. Should be interesting to watch knowing that your playing on a team that wanted you gone but legally that couldn’t get it done.

To hell w/the haters. You can’t ask for more from Rempe, as far as improving himself in the offseason. Training w/Larocque & Kreider. If every Ranger had that desire.

Lindgren may not get a boatload of points but he prevents many points against. Look at his + - .there's a reason our goalies love him.

A one year contract tells me that Drury isn't interested in signing a long-term deal with Lindgren, which I think is very smart. He's not a big dman and takes way more damage than he dishes out, he blocks tons of shots and is often injured. He reminds me a lot of Girardi, once all the hits and blocks caught up to him he wasn't the same player. This off-season was disappointing in the lack of action but I think the Trouba situation tied Drury's hands, but next season I think there will be massive changes. Especially among the Dmen, I could see everyone outside of Fox and Schneider on the block. People overlooked how awful Miller was in the playoffs, add in that he left the team halfway through the season for his "mental health" and he would be the first guy I'd be looking to trade.

One year is good but lingren does have a lot of value and is pretty tough and he is a leader in his own way

Even though we’d all love this acquisition, we all know this isn’t going to happen with our situation right now.

I don't think he should be traded at all. At first the term had me pissed off but I realized that the flexibility is actually quite an intelligent move by Drury and actually helps the organization and the player. Should the team unfortunately have to move on from him this makes it easy to do and sets a nice starting point for future contracts with other teams. In this cap era a team must be able to adapt quickly and make necessary adjustments to lineups on the fly and this deal provides for that. I've often thought that if the Rangers even just added a good two-way top 6 right winger he doesn't need to be a major goal scorer if the team were able to upgrade the defense phenomenally. We have plenty of offense, I honestly think Riley Smith will be a fine addition if we add another hard nosed defensively sound bottom 6 guy plus replace Trouba and if necessary Lindgren with a stalwart defensive d-man and a defensively responsible offensive d-man we will become a dynasty.

I can live with 1 year....but he is too small and too injury prone to count on.......love the player but he needed to be troubas size to play his physical style

Rangers would need to trade for his rights and he is most likely going to be asking for more than 5 Mil+ a year which is what the Rangers can't afford. Not a right fit for this team who is cap constrained for the forseable future.
