Buffalo doesn't need Trouba. Rangers need to pay the Sabres for taking on Trouba's contract.

Ok I stopped at the point of his injury in the eastern conference finals…if he was that hurt and potentially holding the team back then he should have never been on the ice.
Especially after the team PROVED in the reg season that we could ABSOLUTELY win w/o him. I think we won 10 out of the 12 games he was out? Something like that. Regardless of the actual stat, the point is we were certainly capable w/o him and that would’ve been ( considering he was our WORST) more than apparent within the playoffs as well!😫

Buffalo is only 40 minutes away from NYC by air. That might be a factor. He isn't as bad as the social media fans say. He can be a good third pairing guy

They could trade for a veteran right dman for much less money, and not lose a 1st line RW while doing so. My fan base believes everything told to them, they look past the craziness of it. If they mentioned Kakko and 1 of Sykora or Berard, and ate 2-2.5 million per, maybe I'd pay a little more attention, just a little.

Islanders and Devils are the only two teams that make sense geographically. Even if no one comes back to the Rangers, they’d be lucky to get rid of him and his cap hit.

Yeah. Like we're going to get back Tage Thompson, which would be what The Rangers would be looking for. The only other alternative, in Buffalo, is likely one of their up & coming D-Men & A Prime Forward (I don't see Alex Tuch as a player, specifically because he wants to be in Buffalo). Maybe one of the others, JJ Peterka. Let me know what you think

Trouba going to Buffalo makes sense for everyone, but we wouldn't be trading Alex freaking Tuch for him lmao. That would make zero sense and the Sabres absolutely wouldn't be doing that, according to what they are trying to do right now. Trouba would be an addition made because it unexpectedly became an option to add another Right shot D to our mostly L shot D lineup. But that is not a necessity. Our main objective has been and continues to be adding another top 6 F. we also need more R shot Forwards. Trading our 1st line R shot winger who is one of our most solid players makes zero sense and isn't happening.

Drury low balled GMKA on a potential Baby Jack trade. I don't think Drury's # is on high on calls GMKA would take. Erik Johnson was signed last off-season for "a veteran presence" that did not work out well for Buffalo.
Detroit never said they wanted to trade for Trouba. This was rumored by Brooks. Who was Detroit going to trade?
Tuch would realistically cost us Trouba at 50% retained and a first rounder, along with Kakko. But I'd do the deal considering we get Tuch with 2 years left at 5 AAV. After all is said and done we save 1-1.5 in space.
of course the rangers would jump on that, getting rid of most of Trouba's salary, and dumping off Kakko, while adding a valuable piece.

I stuck by Kevin Adams, did not like overpaying 4 McLeod, but if he trades for Jacob I'm out. He should have wore orange because he looked like a damn pile on out there. The Rangers couldn't even trust him late in games why the hell would they want to get a Jacob trouba I have no idea it just doesn't make sense. That's what happens when you have too many cooks in the kitchen you got Lindy Ruff in one ear and Terry in the other
