There is a way 6:49 you can use the jelly gun to create a platform to reach the it and hit it with the wrench

I did a similar run only using the Razor blades then the Lighting wipe

The horrible machine requires way less attacks You can spawn an enemy wave with 4 fully charged punches fully charged punches keep the bar from lowering for longer than uncharged punches and its enough time to be able to hit the machine with another fully charged punch This would bring the meter hit counts from 12 to 4 reducing the amount of hits required by 8 for each time you need to fill the meter in the boss fight So this reduces the hits from 60 to 20 (not counting enemies) Granted at least on PC you need the fill the meter 6 times so the attacks required would be 24 but regardless this cuts the hits required the beat the boss by two thirds This would also make resetting for better RNG less tedious

I know this is a bit late now but, you could have gone into a fight with no PP on transform, took out the fist pokemon with struggle and then restore the PP of transform with an item to transform into the 2nd or 3rd pokemon.

The percentage after each stage does not display or reflect the effectiveness of your chain combo points but it shows you if you found all the possible gems and other point giving collectibles to earn points from the given level. The two things are not the same.

Wow, that is some dedication :D, I would probably recommend an emulator, that allows you to play the original version, but more importantly, it allows you to make "quick saves" at any point in any game, meaning that a reset takes way less time since you can reset just to the last combo instead of the whole section. I highly expect that most of those other records do so as well, at least for the preperation phase.

Nice video! Have you tried doing one playthrough using your feet instead of your hands? Or maybe one where you switch your hands on the controller (example: you control rayman with your right hand but you press the punch and jump buttons with your left hand)?

Hi, I have a proposition if interested for some re attempts. 1: the save you beat the game with must have no more than the minimum gun purchases, this will lower the odds of getting unusable ammo. 2: you should attempt to grind the level up in the places you can to keep integrity of the challenge. 3: you could provide an alternate challenge, maybe attempt the saves with lower difficulty but also have 0 armor upgrades? (I know this likely is no good but would be interesting to see how low you need to set the bar for it to work)

In my opinion you totally won because of nonstop holding strafe button, even while using glitch. Fun fact, today I played Rayman 3 and found out that infinite powerup glitch works in Hootlum HQ as well. I killed sorcerer with your speedrun tactic and did powerjump to platform. Game glitched and Rayman couldn't die, I couldn't reset, and powerups were infinite. Funny how much new things you can learn after 20 years haha.

I tested to see why you couldn't enter tower of leptys. When you finish Hoodlum HQ and then go to tower of leptys and don't finish the first stage of level, but revisit other levels, you can't enter tower of leptys. At least in my case that happened when i tested it. So when you enter new level, just finish at least first stage, and then go revisit level that you want to fix 😉
