17:52 "She could've said something and didn't say sh*t..." lol...
Happy Thanksgiving bro🎉 🦃 And that intro😂
Great movie reaction!!👍 Robocop is such a hidden gem, great movie from the 80s,! I recommand watching next Robocop 2 from 1990 as well , its badass movie! it's a great sequal👍👍 I will also recommand Roadhouse from 1989 as well, such a great movie with Patrick Swayze and Sam Elliot👍👍 Cheers from Norway 🇳🇴
Buster was my favorite I just hated the fact he went there alone.
My son (now 34) was Ferris in high school… and his best friend was just like Cameron
Please react to "Savings Private Ryan" and "We Were Soldiers"
Great reaction!! 😢😮😅 God calls on many, few hear His call, very few act on it
There are actually OTHER movies from the same time period as this one which feature plenty of gore. Including .. . Bay of Blood (1971) The Gore Gore Girls (1972) Andy Warhol's Flesh for Frankenstein (1973) Carnival of Blood (1970) Blood Sucking Freaks (1975) Mark of the Devil (1970) The Wizard of Gore (1970) I Drink Your Blood (1971) Tombs of the Blind Dead (1973) They came from Within (1975) Night of the Living Dead (1968) Mad Doctor of Blood Island (1969) The Wild Bunch (1969) Let sleeping Corpses Lie (1974) And THIS DECADE - the 1970's - was the first decade that had the R and X rating.
Did you notice that Murphy's partner, Lewis, is the main bully, Chris, who poured the pig's blood over Carrie in 'Carrie'?
Jesse, another Rob Reiner movie you should check out is "When Harry Met Sally" if you haven't seen it already. I heard you say "we were watching another Stephen King movie" after recently watching "Stand by Me" - coincidentally both were directed by Reiner.
Love your reactions, Jesse! And that skit was perfect, lol! I also would have opted for the broken legs over those two initial methods of torture. Either that or having sriracha poured directly into my eyeballs.👀
The "Oh Paul" made me think of Michael Myers when she's singing ohh Paul!! 🤣 I LOVED your aggression I felt it too. And the Skit I loved it. I joined your Patreon but it will be a cpl of days before I can become a member!! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving 💙🤍🦃
Salut Jesse "Misery" très bon choix 🎬👍 (Let's go M@Vs 🏀👍)
you need to see part 2 brother , trust
Bro Kubrick made his own film loosely based on Kings novel. King hated that adaptation and made a made for tv film with Steven Webber that is more accurate to the book. Being that this is an adaption to the actual book Dr. Sleep by King it's not really going to answer as many questions.
Great casting here.
Saw this in the theater with my family when I was 10 in 1980. Bro that lady in room 237 Traumatized me for life 🫣😂
Omg you're so cute
I just realized how random it is that Stephen King wrote two books about writers being snowed in in Colorado.
The word practical didn't exist pre-CGI. What you thought was a digital effect was an animated film effect. Also I saw this PG film when it came (This and the Twilight Zone movie propelled the rating of PG-13) out in July of '84. Saw the sequel in the theater as well, but didn't like it as much.
Even though Gizmo is an animatronic puppet (sometimes voiced by Howie Mandel) still super cute and believable
Is it possible for the police to get a search warrant for all the houses in a small town
Before Spielberg was attached this film was written as a Hard R (gory) horror black comedy
Bro, don’t sleep on Dolores Claiborne. Stephen King, Kathy Bates (in another Oscar-worthy performance that wasn’t even nominated). A very different story vibe. Check it out, it’s a great movie!
I feel like Annie Wilkes from "Misery" could have solved this story's issues. She would have tied Jack down and made him write a new novel over the winter.
I take it you like Shakira? 😂😂😂
сыгранная Вами сценка в начале видео напомнило мне момент из очень смешного фильма "Совершенно секретно"
Jesse you cannibal😂 got all thrilled over that Texas human BBQ. Also your commentary of that one guy doing nothing in defense of Franklin says a lot about that character. The dude probably hates Franklin.
1. A mustang isn't a very good vehicle to drive in the snow. 2. Red flag #1: Anyone that says "Oogie" 3. The way she responded to the fire in the BBQ pit when he threw a match on the book: What do you expect? 4. In the book Annie chops his feet off (not just hobbling him). It IS Stephen King after all. 5. Kathy Bates won Best Actress Oscar. 6. Rob Reiner is a great director but, it's too bad he's a CPF.😭🤬 7. King wrote this because of a deep-seated fear of what overzealous fans might do. 8. RIP James Caan 😇 9. FWIW Kathy Bates recently announced her retirement.
The skit, dude. "You sack of sh*t! You're just a diiiirty, little biiiiirdy." Hahahahaha!
lol your face after she says “Here’s one big bastard of a check” and spilling the tomato soup
Yeah that one really gets the guts in a twist.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Another blinding skit, Jess!!! Rivalling 'Christine' slightly!! Love the hobbling as a consequence for not included subscribers favourite scenes from the films you react too ha! ha! Some weird inner part of me was hoping you'd be playing Annie - in full frumpy old bag wig, fake tits and cardigan.... but you portraying your own psychotic twin was wicked!! Personally, I was on the side of the psychotic twin as your 'Paul Sheldon' persona in the bed, needed to have the shit kicked out of him just for wearing that fucking jumper! * Unless you've already seen them, I'd love you to react to the Stephen King films 'Cujo'(1983) and 'The Dead Zone'(1983) 😊
Yes. There should be a phone in that phone. You are correct.
My instincts were correct again 😂 Yeah I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed lol!
This is the only movie that I ever stayed in the theater when it was over and stayed to watch a second showing.
Badass! I hope you restocked with some snack and drinks as well 🍿🍷 I did the same for The Dark Knight
@@jessebatres6895 Fun Fact: I was watching an interview with Kathy, and she said after the fight scene was filmed, she went off by herself and cried for a few minutes, because when James is bashing her head into the floor, her head kept hitting the cut away parts of the floor (they had replaced with foam) but she said because she has a 'big fat head' it kept hitting the corners of the real wood flooring.
Bird spreads her legs like a right slag....... JESSE: "She needs to do something about that hair though.... fucking frizzel, man" Mate, I pissed myself 😂😂😂😂
She won an Oscar for this role and deservedly so.
Hi! I just found you tonight. Great reaction! Thanks
Hey Katie! So glad to you have on this journey with me :) Please always feel free to reach out. I always do my best to get back to as many comments as possible. Hope you're enjoying the Holiday season!
@jessebatres6895 thanks!
True story. There's another brother who takes his own life that they left out of the movie. They said it was just too much death to pack into 2 hours. We knew about the tragedy of this family for years. I think they did the best they could with this story.
Fashion in the early 40's was gorgeous!
Cool trivia: when James Cameron was casting for the role of Newt, most of the child actors gave a very bubbly, happy audition. Then Carrie Henn came in and gave a very serious, realistic portrayal of a child suffering from severe PTSD..... Cameron pretty much hired her on the spot.
The skit was hilarious! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
There were indeed differences in the book. An axe instead of a sledgehammer. More bloody violence. It's been a while but I do remember long sections from the Misery book with all the n's filled in. I didn't think it was necessary and slowed the book down. There are a few adaptations that are better than the books and this was one of them for me. King was also stuck in the horror genre until he decided to release Different Seasons with The Body, Shawshank and two other novellas to show he could write non horror. I, myself, wrote several fan letters to him in the 80s so maybe I was part of the collective inspiration for this work. He was always kind and prompt with his responses. Try The Dark Half, adapted by George Romero. I also adapted it into a screenplay but that's another story.
Differently Check Out Fried Green Tomatoes 😊
Great reaction, I love how you rooting for Paul during the fight like a sports match lol
