Hey everyone, thank you so much for watching! Please consider subscribing to the channel. Which scary moment in the film made you reevaluate your life choices? Lol! Also, what are some of you favorite modern horror films, 2000-2024??
Thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed the reaction, and you have no idea what your kind words mean to me! I'll have many more reactions coming your way :)
My new favorite reactor...subbed about a month ago and YOU HAVE BECOME MY FAVORITE REACTOR ! I love the horror/paranormal/psychological movies & reactions 👏💯😎
Thank you so much! That really means so much to me, and it truly makes me happy to have you and others on this journey with me! I look forward to sharing many more reactions with you, and this month will be full of horror :)
The first time I watched this was on a large screen in a completely dark room in a basement by myself and my reaction was quieter. But exactly like yours. I'm so happy you experience this film. I have to say this one is my favorite horror movie. Because it was the first movie of its kind that truly kept me on edge of my seat in such a drastically, creepy way. The simplicity and genuine feel of the movie for me.Destroys other horror movies and like you said the second they moved in, it was over, yet we still watched because we just didn't know, just like the main character in the film. Awesome reaction keep up the phenomenal work❤
Jesse man you are my favorite. Ya always have the best reaction videos. I'd love for you to react to the haunting in Connecticut. It's an awesome movie
Thank you so much Josh! I'm glad you enjoyed the reaction, and I've got some more horror ones on the way this month! That's one I'll put on my list :) I've got a list of horror films to check out, but I'll check this one out at some point for sure. Thanks so much for the support and kind words!!
Thanks, Jesse! 😨 I remember enjoying this one quite a bit. Kudos to writer/producer/director Scott Derrickson. 🔸 You asked about what other horror movies Mr. Hawke has done... he also starred in THE BLACK PHONE (2021), another gem by Mr. Derrickson.
Ohhh! That's right! I remember seeing the marketing for it and will have to definitely check it out as well! I'm so excited for the spooky season and seeing some more horror films :)
Great reaction Jesse! I’m with you, if I’m investigating anything weird in my house every light in the house will be on. 😂. Looking forward to more in October .
Thank you so much! And I'm glad we think alike lol! Of course, whatever ghost is in our house would make the power go out, and that's when I would immediately dash out of the front door 😂
Nice reaction. The title fits the movie well imo. About the red hair, it's a recessive gene. Basically everyone (except East Asians as far as I know) can be a carrier without being a redhead themselves but passing it to the next generation with a chance that one of their children will have red hair.
Thank you! And it definitely is an appropriate title for this unsettling and creepy film. I guess you could see my Neanderthal way of thinking on full display lol!
Great reaction! I love this movie so much simply because how effective and unique it was at the time, and still is! Scott Derickson is one of my favorite horror directors working today. I highly recommend his most recent horror film The Black Phone! It has a very similar vibe to Sinister, and also uses home videos to paint a narrative. He also did a segment for VHS 85 called Dream Kill. And my God, if you thought these tapes in Sinister were disturbing, he went ALL THE WAY in Dream Kill. I still can't personally watch it. It's that disturbing lol. Overall, really great and effective film. Still gets me today. I watch this and The Black Phone every Halloween season now. Also, really love the reaction. Really clean and just more chill. I love your style! Keep it up!
Lol… Jesse man. I hate this movie. It’s top 3 frightening films for me. I vowed not to watch it again. It’s been so long that it feels new all over again. But here I am. I feel like I need to get through it with you. Best reactor on UA-cam. At the 31 minute mark. Here we go. *holds breath*
Lol! And guess what, I just had some AC work done and they accessed it through the attic, so I had to go up there to check out the work and was holding my breath lol! I'm glad I helped you watch it again 😂 The film character that haunts me is Freddy lol! That son of a bitch had me wake up crying multiple times as a kid.
Another good reaction about this movie I really like the way that its not like a normal horror but with mix of like investigation about murders. The fact that your like watching a real murder feels uneasy. but anyway is that Dirk Nowitzki at the back? also like the Dallas Mavericks on your bonet and the shoes at the back 😅
91st thumbs up. 2:20: You want to do a night vision look for the camera. You know how sometimes you'll see an ad for a movie, and they'll have night vision of audience in the cinema reacting? Also, next to Hereditary, this is the scariest movie ever made.
The director and team involved did a hell of a job with setting up GREAT tension and scares! The creepy level is sky high and I loved how they kept us on edge for so much of the film. Thank you for watching and commenting!!
@@jessebatres6895 lol its all good man, that part with the lawn mower scared the heck out of me when i saw it too. love your reactions keep up the great work.
Have you seen Lord of War? Nicolas Cage and Ethan Hawk are in it. And Jared Leto. Hawk plays a fed cop trying to bring down Cage. Cage is an arms dealer. It is a must see.
My first thoughts of watching this movie was “this is obscene.” Not in a sexual way, but obscene was the word that came to me. It was done so well, it was worth the obscenity. Should be renamed VERY DISTURBING!

Ethan Hawke has also played in a movie called Alive (1993) based on a true story (drama), great movie.
One of the best intros to any horror movie.

For me, this is the SCARIEST and CREEPIEST movie for the entire post-2000s.
The director and team involved did a hell of a job with setting up GREAT tension and scares! The creepy level is sky high and I loved how they kept us on edge for so much of the film. Thank you for watching and commenting!!
haha you reaching for the magic blanket to protect you.
Lol! It does have magic powers though 😂 It's so pathetic how it actually does make me feel safer haha!

you absolutely have to do a reaction to Black Phone
I'm definitely going to :) Might work it in this month, or I might check it out in November. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
you make great content, love your movie reactions!
👍🏿👍🏿
Thank you!! :)

Those arms looking good
I appreciate the compliment :)
Rambo III... please.
Thank's!!
Its a pretty good scary movie but relies way too heavily on jump scares. Feels cheap after awhile
Why hat , is that cold in your house?😂
First!!!
Damn! You even beat me to it lol! Hope you enjoy the reaction, and thanks so much for the support! :)
