Framing a Roof Cricket/Saddle (SPENCER FALLS!?!)
Переглядів 7 тис.5 місяців тому
Here's a little blast from the past! Been missing the best cut man ever the past couple of weeks and stumbled across this old video I had filmed yet never posted. Spencer and I finish some 10/12 roof sheeting and frame up a roof Cricket in order to divert water from this side wall where the 10/12 roof dies in. Hope you guys have as much fun as I did with this video. Thanks for Watching! Follow ...
Sheeting a Roof - For Habitat For Humanity
Переглядів 6 тис.5 місяців тому
On this beautifully overcast Monday morning Jarod @Coffmanconstruction and I had the pleasure of sheeting a roof for Habitat. This is one of many jobs on CCI's regular schedule, as the volunteers prefer not to sheet the roofs. It feels awesome to be able to help close up a house that I know a ton of volunteers worked on. This was also my first time dealing with a big party wall where we had to ...

Framing Van Build-Out (POV Cabinet Building and Roof Framing)
When I ask my boss how to do all this I get a okay demonstration and then when I go to do it he tells me “get out the way you’re going to slow” so I’ve never really officially learned any of this
His hand placement at 21:30 gave me anxiety until you had him move it lol
Somone driving by seen him on his phone and probably thought the guy in the basket was doing all the work while he texted his gf lol

Great content man - id love to start doing this kind of work, currently stuck behind a computer but trying to find my way out
I have got to find someone like you to come work with me man. We could sit for hours talking about framing and hand cut roofs. I know you’re having the best time explaining these details to this man. Sharing knowledge with someone who cares is priceless.
The stanley 30ft fatmax is like made for framers with big numbers to 8ft and wide blade and the durability, I love them. I love your videos so keep the vids coming!
What did you use to polish your stiletto?
What kind of Profession / Career would this be considered?
I am a let’s say mature finish carpenter! And man I enjoy watching you guys and I enjoy being around men that like being carpenters!

Dude awesome video loved getting explanation on all this still learning
Amazing video really enjoyed it man
Lots of info for the new guy to learn at once, dudes all over the place and whips out calculator and tries to show new guy that at the same time. Use your framing square, all the info is there , dont need no fancy calculator. Just sayin. Frame on dude
0:58 marillion?
van halen 🖤🤘
just because of the playlist a like
This dude is the type of guy every employer would hire in a heartbeat
are you union
I don’t know anything I do finish! I just think it’s so nice what you did for that young carpenter! Spencer your destined to be a great one ! I am all in buddy !
Great job! I’m a young carpenter also and I need to learn stuff like this but it’s so hard to find a good teacher who will do on job training and not call you a retard 😝. This is needed, if you want the new guy to learn and be independent. In the long run it’s better for the company. You have guys who know what you know and will take it further and produce quality work the way you want.
Great teacher wish I could’ve worked with you for a day or so I’d learn a lot I still learn a lot watching your videos thanks
He's back!
Awesome to see the content again man, missed your videos. They give me the motivation in framing again lol been in it just over a year now and the boys at work are getting me to a point where I can build a roof myself. We’re all pre made trusses here, but this kinda info and demonstration helps a bunch for framing in the roof with hips and valleys and such. Makes me wanna take on more watching you guys do it the way you do. You make it look easy lol. Awesome video man hope to see more soon 💯
That dude your trying to teach is like wtf are you saying
What a great video!
Great video, happy to see people teach like this and don’t get impatient. This is how you get more people in the trades, not by being an asshole and running them away lol
110% True
Old footage from your time out in Colorado or are you back already?
@@RockyMountain4x4 Actually relocated out here!
Hell yeah, missed the videos brother! 💪
Missed your videos man very satisfying to watch!! 🇮🇪👍🏻
You are a good teacher, that was wholesome.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
First! And new video woohhoo!!!! Happy Friday yall
Happy Friday brother!
Yeah ! Scrapping a wood handle is a good thing to shape perfectly at your hands .
Hi Derek, Have you got a company email to share with me?
Gloves?
The classic Vans are the best shoes for framing. Excellent grip and ground feel. I like slip-ons in the summer, Old Skools, and Skate-Hi. Nice work, fellas.
Do you even skate? Poser. I frame and skate don’t wear it stolen valor
What air hoses are you using in this vid?
Watching this video, I want to get into carpentry so bad. It's like I've found my purpose in this life.
That Milwaukee Battery Trick is something impressive!
Schönes Video,in Deutschland ohne Gerüst nicht zu machen! Sicherheit geht vor.
Excellent music selection! Love the videos!
Hey! I’m a freshmen in my high school, and going into carpentry next year, I was wondering if you had any tips to make the class significantly easier and take more stress off my hands in the long run?
@@thatfluff.7581 Awesome to hear man! Surprisingly I never stepped foot into my high school carpentry class. But I did start learning and working from a mentor of mine around my freshman/sophomore year. If I’d have to say what would take my stress away a little if I was in a carpentry class would be trying to work on your carpentry skills outside of class too. You’ll possibly be assigned multiple projects throughout the year so whether it be taking the project home and working on it there or just practicing and having fun with building what you can at home. I was fortunate enough to have a garage to work in around this age but it made understanding carpentry that much more stress free. Love me some model making man, one of the best ways to learn!
why is no one harnessed in? if u fall even onve ur career is over? slip make one mistake once ur seriously hurt
3:18 Way WAY TOO REAL
I'm 15 and just finished my first summer of building custom homes, and i was surprised that i was the one setting trusses with my foreman 3.5 months into it. through the summer i realized that paying attention and doing your best will really bring you a long ways.
Always learn something in your videos. Thanks for sharing
