Blues focused guitar player. Recently picked up the guitar again after many years of hiatus. Using UA-cam to push myself to be better and help others along with their Journey as well.
I don't claim to be a great guitar player, just a player on a Journey to realize the level of playing I have always wanted to be at.
If I have learned anything in my life its this: There is no such thing as talent. If you work hard at it you will get as good as you can based on the level and quality of your practice will allow. Work hard, get results. Its that simple.
The one other thing I know is this. Its not always about the destination, most times the journey is just as important!

hi, how about you with this DI box? sounds clear and flat? great for digital multieffects?
Lots of reverb and now we don't know what is the actual sound of the guitar.
Hell yeah, thanks for the review I recently picked when are these up for $150 used to guitar center, I think that they mispriced it but I sure as hell wasn't going to tell them that😂
Thanks for the video. I think the nut and/or jack threads on my Epi 335 are stripped enough that it doesn’t hold for long and next thing I know the jack is inside the guitar. Might just try a new nut from hardware store but thinking I may need new jack. Thanks👍🏼
An overpriced BM 800 mod that any loser can build with parts available from any audio warehouse for next to nothing. The TZ=turd zone has an almost ZERO resale value. A real overhyped loser.
I watched FOUR videos before I found one that just shows you how the damn thing works without a bunch of fluff and chat! Thank you
I have one but it doesnt fit in my guitars
It’s made that way bro. The part you push in is bigger than the jack itself. You just push it down on the hole. It won’t fit inside. Just put some pressure on it then turn the handle to tighten. I know I was confused at first as well but it’s not supposed to fit like a cable. It basically puts pressure on the jack so it doesn’t spin around breaking your connections. Hope this helps.
I'm quite late to the dance, but I finally bought a 2020 Special a little over a year ago after the initial run sold out very quickly and it was on terminal backorder everywhere for some time! A close friend of mine put his up for sale and I quickly snatched it up; he modded it almost completely and as close to 1955 Gibson specs as possible...even down to replicas of the original truss rod cover and jack plate from that era! The only things he didn't change are the GraphTech nut and the pickguard. Even fully stock, this guitar is killer, too good for the now $449 price tag! Modded as it is now, I will gladly put mine up alongside a new Gibson Special costing $1599 and not only still come out below the cost of it, but blow it out of the water! The only difference between the Epiphone and Gibson is that Epiphone didn't use an angled tailpiece like the vintage and current Gibson models. This is a great review of a great guitar, thank you for sharing yours with us! 🎸😊👊🔥
Bro Where Are You.. Things Okay?
Did you have noise before you got the DI? I have some ground noise from my acoustic on my pedal board. My setup is acoustic into Zoom G1X, into Eventide H9, into an audio interface to my iPad running all sorts of apps and effects. At church it works perfect, no noise or anything but when I get home I get ground noise. I think at church he has power conditioner and other stuff for clean power. It is very frustrating to try and edit patches and sounds with ground noise. Do you think this will help? where would you recommend putting it in the chain? I was thinking after the Eventide H9 since it plugs into the interface. I also plug a Ukulele into the H9, Thanks for the video. You got a new sub.
Love your 90's era Crate.
OH yeah ! Take it off baby ! LMAO
Post it i cant find how to do so!
Thanks “bearded dude.” However your vocal sound was low and so was your guitar sound. Way low. 99 got it loud enough to hear. Gotta stay aware. Keep playing. Thanks again.
I have some Bootstrap 54 Vintage Pros in a Warmoth Strat build and they sound fabulous. It has a Lindy Fralin base plate on rhe bridge pickup. One of the best sounding Strat bridge pickups I've heard. A good combination of clarity and fat tone. 👌
Please make a video on how to wire out the Code to a cabinet. Nice video btw! 🙂👍🏼
Do you know if these are made in the USA or do they send overseas for manufacture?
According to their website they are hand wound and built in USA. He says some of their components may come from overseas, sounds like a depends on supply chain issues kinda thing.
Handwound in Ryan's 2 car garage in his Youngstown, Ohio house.
I'm picking mine up tomorrow. I already bought the Coronet and was really impressed. I own all high end guitars and just don't want to gig with them anymore with the way this grab and run BS is happening. Epiphone did a super job on the reissue Coronet so these two will be my players for gigs now, great review bro Los Angeles
Im trying to convince my dad to get the sg special with p90s DAMN they look phenomenal and want spectacular. That one and this LP Special make it seem almost pointless to get a Gibson one hahahah
The logo is plastic, or pearloid if you prefer and not abalone.
Fantastic backing track I love nothing better than to jam me some blues great stuff my friend have subbed
That bit of plastic coming off the scratch plate is guitar porn.
Does it work on electrics? I would think the concept is the same. I have an old ESP Tele copy that is notoriously always going loose.
What?? Im far from deaf and this is too low to even hear
$40 bucks each or $40 for a set of 3?
You can do to their website. 50$ for a set of 2 premium Tele pickups. Ridiculusly good deals
Does the xlr output goes into the mic input of your mixer?
Yes.
Hey cool review. I was going to buy this guitar between this and the Epi Les Paul, Jr. Do you still have this guitar? Would you recommend it? I bought a Reverend Sensei Jr. Guitar with a P90 in it, and this thing Snarls. Thank you for posting this.
I got my Stellar X2 off Amazon directly from Techzone. Another rash comment, the U87 is not a $4,000 mic, it's $3,200.
Alnico v pickups is better?
I ordered a set of these ... thank you for the video .... best one on You Tube .... You should contact Bootstrap and Demo a set of each of their pickups for them ... good for them and your channel
Mine arrives tomorrow. Hoping it’s as good as all the reviews I’ve seen/heard. Don’t usually buy guitars I haven’t tried, but no one has them locally and COVID means no travel allowed. Never owned a P90 equipped guitar. So excited to peel that plastic off!
Cool instrument!
I think the bass sounds great, but I am on headphones most of the time. Thanks!
Learned something new to me.
me thinks I like the Marshall speaker a tad better although they are both great.
This video made me want one so even worse than before, they weren't in stock before when you did this video but now they are and I just had to order one when I seen it for $ 338 I had just had to buy ! Thanks again for helping me decide.
I just got the white Gibson version, this guitar growls. I love it!
I am new to the guitar... just learning now at 63yrs old. After playing around with pentatonic scales and wanting to learn the blues scale I landed here. Your videos have given me a backdrop to feel out the blues style. Thanks!
Which bootstrap model would be like Texas style pickups ???
I think it would be the sun city selects
You said it's from China? Are you sure it's not some form of #Carona virus they put on the strings? Look how dirty your hands are? But it sounds cool. How much it costs?
Rodé Nt1 or x2 for vocals?
Sub 176!, jason wade sent me, subscribed and liked, take care music friend:)
This is amazing!! Good content
Thanks for this second video. Once again. They are quite on par. Different folks will have varying opinions on which is ultimately better. But honestly seems they are fairly on par. In others words you can't go wrong with either mic. Regardless, the Stellar X2 was hyped so much that my initial reaction was this is a must buy or it's so good it's worth buying even if you already have a $150 -$200 mic already. Now after seeing your tests I am not sure. I mean it's basically not living up to the hype. It may be good but it ain't that good etc. Same old story of if it's too good to be true then it probably is.
Many thanks. There has been so much hype and conflicting reviews. Typically, I tend to trust the negative reviews more so than the positive in cases like these as they tend to be more real and honest. Your review was one of the better ones. Simple and effective. Bottomline the Stellar X2 appears to be a quality $200 mic. It's not the hype one tends to hear. Ashame that famous UA-cam Influencers seem to be a bit biased as your test shows the mic is not nearly as unique as they lead you to believe. Thanks again.
He should have whispered ‘come to daddy’ whilst peeling off plastic 😂😂🇬🇧🇬🇧
Any issues with the P-90's humming or feeding back?
Great job buddy, superlike, greetings from Barcelona 👍🎵
Mine finally showed up today and I can't say enough good about it. It is a complete steal at that price point. Setup was almost dead on out of the box, frets are perfect, sounds and plays amazing. Restrung it and cleaned up the fretboard but damn. I'm genuinely impressed.
Awesome backing tracked my bearded blues dude
Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed it!
