Thanks for this second video. Once again. They are quite on par. Different folks will have varying opinions on which is ultimately better. But honestly seems they are fairly on par. In others words you can't go wrong with either mic. Regardless, the Stellar X2 was hyped so much that my initial reaction was this is a must buy or it's so good it's worth buying even if you already have a $150 -$200 mic already. Now after seeing your tests I am not sure. I mean it's basically not living up to the hype. It may be good but it ain't that good etc. Same old story of if it's too good to be true then it probably is.
Hi Bearded Blues. Nice to see your videos.
To me I think the Stellar sounds just a tad better but they are very close.
Yeah, me too. I got the rode about a year ago and have had no complaints. I saw the review for the X2 and really liked it. If I would have thought of it I'd have put them in stereo and put one on the 12th fret and one at the body so I could hear them blended!
They both sound good. Happy Friday friend
TGIF looking forward to about 10 hours from now :)
I'd be happy with either one!
I prefer the X2 but the are both good mic's with their own sound. But really they are pretty close!
Awesome...
I think the Rode sounded best here. It sounded like it had a little more in the low end, and not as much sparkle. Cool shootout!🐰👍
Thanks. I'm wishing I would have put them in stereo now so I could hear them mixed!
Rodé Nt1 or x2 for vocals?
Stellar X2 or Neumann TLM 102 for vocals?
I'd pick the X2 I did another video with vocals. you can find it in this video description. I didn't do any singing but in that one I also preferred the X2
X2
That's what I thought too. But some liked the rode. I want to pair then with a small diaphragm next
Unfortunatelly Rode sounds much better on guitars(( Staellar is muddy here and has lots of bass tone... Or maybe Stellar was standing closer to guitars than Rode and thats why was that boomy tone?
I have stellar x2. No good for guitars.
Hmm I'll have to listen to it again. I tried to have them as close as I could to the same spots.
@@zyggimantasvalliukas3008 yeah I think I need to put it up against a ribbon mic
i think calling it muddy is a bit over the top. definitely warmer though. I preferred it on guitar if it is the only instrument. In a mix I might have a different opinion.
On my phone I like the Rode
I like the X2 best. I suggest to listen to this one on some headphones, or studio monitors to get a better range of the sounds!
I will!
