Yeah it was fun, I had the Idea a while ago and had the stuff in my cart several times. Then it would sell... then I would try again. I kept getting turned off by the fact the shipping cost half as much as the stuff lol but then I couldn't say now to that natural finish quilted top.
@@BeardedBluesDude Is that the normal price for shipping at Guitar Center? $55 sounds outrageous to me. I live in Denmark, and I shop my guitar stuff at either Thomann in Germany or Andertons in the UK, and the shipping from both places is around $9.
@@thegaindane nah if you buy new stuff it's usually free shipping. But the used stuff you pay. Not bad really. Considering it was shipped from three separate stores. 20 for the guitar 20 for the amp and 10 for the pedal. Compare that to buying a used guitar on reverb.com where the average shipping on a guitar is $50.
yeah the guitar is ok in my book. it sounds much better on my Fender Bassman :) Plays great, the pickups are just ok. It sure looks sexy though. The Amp is the biggest dog in the mix. the Ax30g run direct to my interface actually sounded really good!
@@BeardedBluesDude I did not like the pick ups my self . All in all you put together nice little budget rig. Shit I've seen people pay 2-3x more an not really do well.
@@joehervey84 I'll do a demo of it on a better amp, quite the difference when you have 2-12 vs 1x6 :) However the Ibanez amp has another purpose. I am going to put it out in my shop on the workbench for "testing" after soldering or what not.
This is amazing!! Good content
That was a fun video. And you must have had fun in the hunt of finding the rig. 🎸
Amazing what you can get for $100 in the US. 😁

@@BeardedBluesDude Ok, that makes more sense. I thought you bought it all from the same store.
@@thegaindane yeah thats why it took me so long to make this vid. Every time I saw 50+ to ship $100 worth of gear it turned me off lol
I think you achieved some very creditable sounds for that price range.
Thanks GH. I should ditch the amp and try that rig though my Fender amp for a comparison.
I had a Mitchel md-200 an a Acustic from them. I was not impressed with the electric tbh.
