Does life need a purpose? Does life need a meaning?
Right on! Thank you for addressing this topic it is truly never too late
That coffee thermos reminds me of an old Garfield comic where John told Garfield he should limit his coffee. Garfield goes "OK just one more cup" and then pulls out what appears to be a giant gallon cup.
Where are you selling your thrifed items ?
You did amazing 😻
Thank you Margarita!! 🥰❤️🎉🌺
Yes I stopped buying coffee outside

Hahaha thank you Tina!! No special skincare line, if you saw me up close you could see that my skin is FAR from perfect! But thank you for the compliment, i really appreciate you 🥰
I love my glass containers too. I got mine from TK Maxx and like you, I prefer them to minimise endocrine disruptors from plastics 😀
Hi Shirley, its so great to see you! Yes, i think trying to minimize plastics is something to be more conscious of, for sure. Thanks so much for watching and commenting, i really appreciate you!! 🥰

Hi Kirk, its great to see you!! It's so wonderful to connect and share with each other! Thanks so much for watching and commenting, i appreciate you 🥰❤️🌺
Dana, great tips and well done. Love your red tool box - I got one too! Was eating at Subways sometimes 3 times a week. Found I can easily replicate the experience at home with the right ingredients for I'm sure half the price. Great to see you and thanks for doing this! Pete
Hi Pete! Your super thanks is greatly appreciated, thank you soooo much for your support!! The red tool box is a classic, right? I love it so much, its one of my favorite things. I think thats brilliant, making your own subways at home...what a great way to save money! Thanks soooo much for watching and your wonderful comment, i'm always very happy to see you! Have a great week 🥰❤️🌺
These are great tips. I do disagree with #5 -- LED bulbs. I treat myself by using old-fashioned incandescent bulbs. I have what I hope is a lifetime supply squirreled away because, sadly, these bulbs can no longer be purchased. For me, it's the quality of the light that makes a huge difference. I find LED lights to be cold and blue, no matter the Kelvin rating.
Hi Elizabeth! I totally get that, incandescents have a lovely glow, maybe one day LEDs will get closer! Have you tried the warmer colored ones? Sometimes they are a bit too yellow for me. Thanks soooo much for watching and your wonderful comment, i really appreciate you!! 🥰❤️🌸
Hi friend such good tips. I buy LED bulbs at Dollar Tree. Just bought more this week. I too love my crockpot so much and use it all the time. I found my calphalon cookware at the thrift stores little by little. We have a Senior Center here with a nice pool and weight room for 50+ and they have classes too. You just have to make yourself get up and go! It's $50 per year.
Hellooo Candis, its great to see you!! Thats a great tip, i'll have to pick up LED lights from The Dollar Tree next time i need some! We are both super thrifters, sounds like you picked up some great cookware from the thrifts...there are so many useful items to be found, just takes some patience. I love your senior center! Such an amazing deal, its so important for us over 50 to stay active. Thanks soooo much for sharing your frugal buys, my friend, i really appreciate you!! 🥰❤️
So many good ideas! I do utilize some of them already but I always appreciate other ideas.
Thanks so much for watching Lisa, I'm so glad you found some of the ideas helpful! Hope you have a wonderful evening, its always sooo great to see you!! 🥰❤️
I have had my yeti travel mug for 4 years, it has saved me so much since making coffee at home is much cheaper.
Hi Evie! I used to have a Yeti mug too but i lost it so i got a replacement mug at Goodwill. The Yeti was amazing, especially the lid, it didn't leak! Thanks soooo much for watching and commenting, i really appreciate you 🥰❤️
how did I come across you! Thank you for Ikigai lesson. I loved listening to your story. I am 55, 1.5 years into caring for and having mom live with. Getting help and looking into assisted living for her. Meanwhile trying to recareer. OR take a different path, I have a masters in clinical nutrition. Loved hearing your journey of wanting to focus on health, Best to you!
Hi Amy, it’s so great to hear from you! I'm sending you so much love and positive vibes as you navigate this new journey, you're going to have a great recareer or new path! Thanks so much for your wonderful comment, i really appreciate you 🥰❤️
I was at 🎯🎯🎯 recently, I debated whether to get a box of mason jars. I have noticed that I’m utilizing Tupperware’s more, but some food stains the plastic. Your idea of using mason jars as cups is a great idea 💡 🩵💙🤍
Yep, mason jars are great, you can use them in so many different ways! Thank you soooo much for watching and commenting Kokomo, i really appreciate you!! 😊
I agree with you also. I use mason jars too. I replace the lids sometimes when it gets a little rusty, but it takes a long time. Replacing just the lids is more cost effective.
My age is 66 years old and I live in a camper because it's a lot cheaper my lites are 12volt and I use LED lights in there too whenever the power goes out and nobody has power especially in the winter time I still have power battery power my heater motor runs on 12 volt and I burn propane gas
Hi Capt Bob, I think as we get older it becomes even more necessary for us to be frugal and save. It sounds like you really are doing a great job of making it work for you! Very resourceful AND knowledgable!! 🥰❤️🌺
I wish I could talk to you how about different tools I'm the one that does the leather business I have my own leather shop and I still work a 40-hour week job welding

Great video Dana! I try to do the same, coffee at home, DIY cleaning supplies, buy 2nd hand, cook at home but of course there is always room for improvement and can add a few of the tips you gave. We recently replaced our couch after at least 3 years with the other one and it was already in desperate need of retiring! I think it is very wise for us to look for deals and save!
Hi Brenda, its soooo great to see you! I have such a hard time picking out sofas...i think because its such a big purchase! I had a sofa that was a hand me down from the 70s and i loved it...but i was the only one who loved it hahaha! Thanks so much for your awesome comment, i really appreciate you 🥰❤️🌸
Im mid 60s and starting over again too. I think it's less stress sometimes. I'm diagnosed 25 years ago wtih MS but still working full time puttering along. Life becomes more stressful as we get older so got to just focus on yourself and keeping healthy as possible. . I had covid 3 times and never got my full wind back making me more fatigued easily now.
Hi Bradley, its so great to meet you! You sound like your really have your priorities in order, getting our health right is so important, isn't it? Thanks so much for your helpful comment, i really appreciate you!! 🥰❤️
Thanks. Inspiring. I'm 66 retired and moving closer to a warmer beach town. Love thrifting and when I figure what stays and goes (after the move) will sell off or donate the excess, excess. Would be nice to find someone like you when my new life begins. PS: use ear plugs with your drumming. Hearing loss happens fast enough.
I love your plan, Harry! Sounds like you’re going to have a wonderful new life near the beach. I will keep my ears covered when I drum, thanks so much for the tip!! 🥰❤️🌸

You are an inspiration. Keep being wonderful.
Thank you so much Caroline!! 🥰❤️
Love this 💛 I will say that store brands aren’t always cheaper though. I typically look at the price for ounce, or per unit to be sure. I’ve noticed even buying in bulk isn’t always lower in price. Sometimes buying two of the smaller size is not only less in price, but also equal to the same amount of product. This is weird to see at the market, but I do see that here locally.
Thanks for sharing your tips Andria!! I’ll definitely be paying attention to that when I’m shopping! Thanks so much for watching, i really appreciate you 🥰❤️
I feel like I’m starting over at 59 too.

Hi, I’ve reached out to you before I moved to California last April and live in Lathrop so the bins in Sacramento is closer to me and I enjoy shopping there, clothing is 2.29 lbs. I will be moving to Dublin California now in December and looking for a location closer to Dublin. I have googled search some locations but not sure which location would be best also don’t want to pay too much more than what I’m paying now and you can never find the prices of each location when you google any suggestions on a location?
Hi Enid, its great to hear from you again! The Oakland bins are temporarily closed now so i've been going to the South San Francisco bins and its pretty good. If you get over 20 lbs its $1.79 i think and about $2.00 for less weight. I don't know about any places out near Dublin, there are a bunch of thrift stores in Hayward which i think might be close. I hope this helps! I'm going to the bins this Friday from 7am to about 11 or so...if you go please say hi i would love to meet you in person 🥰❤️
@ thank you so much!!! I will definitely try the bins in South San Francisco my sister is visiting till Sunday so I won’t make it till next week. I really appreciate you getting back to me. I hope to see you out at the bins sometime. Congratulations again on your granddaughter mine just turned 1 last month and it’s been a joy caring for her🥰🩷
