Beautiful song! I really love how it's applicable on both an individual and societal level, with the music video putting the focus on humanity's collective mistakes. I find it touching that it's "I'm forgiving what I've done" and "I'll start again", because forgiveness of one self is such an important part of change. If we cannot grant ourselves forgiveness, then we cannot allow ourselves to make mistakes, and without the ability to acknowledge mistakes, we can't grow to be better people. My favourite album is their fourth one, A Thousand Suns, and I can 100% recommend listening to that as a whole album, not just a collection of songs. There's a lot of interludes weaving the album together, parts of songs that gets repeated further on in the album, themes running through it, all those sorts of things that make it an ALBUM. I can also recommend seeing some of their live performances, they could be phenomenal live! "Given Up" from live in Clarkston 2007 is just one such performance, I'm sure people in the comments will recommend performances from Live In Texas, you'll probably hear QWERTY be recommmended as a must see live performance.
