I know I'm late, but I grew up on Minecraft Console edition for the Xbox 360, I will always go back to it because for me, that is my perfect version of minecraft, I don't know, I just see it as the other way around, even if Java is the poster child and get's more features

Legacy console edition also feels like it's designed to be played with friends. I'd play singleplayer java edition over singleplayer console edition any day, but with friends I always play legacy console edition.

Oh my god this is why the warden always felt so familiar yet new to me, I could never figure out why that was and just chalked it up to me playing the update with the deep dark on the first day, but now i remember popularmmos playing this mod and the animations are so similar its actually crazy.

Mojang doesn't exist as it did back in 2012. At this point it's basically a just a puppet company for Microsoft and it shows in the way bedrock is designed. Things like minigames replaced with pay to win servers and the shop. Resource packs moved to a store where you have to buy in game money. The game has gone from an indie passion project to a cash cow. Let's face it it's not just Minecraft that has gone through this. All video games are experiencing this race to be the most marketable. Think of games like FNaF and how it started it's decline. The older versions are always going to be better because the new versions are not the same game.

I don’t dislike Bedrock at all. While the Legacy Console Editions definitely had their charm, Bedrock is infinitely superior to them. Feature parity with Java Edition is huge. Keep in mind how comparatively primitive Legacy was. It didn’t even have infinite worlds. I do agree with most of your complaints. The shading is dull and the saturation is definitely too high. It is pretty buggy. The mini-games are missed. The UI may be slightly worse for console players. I just don’t think that these complaints outweigh how much better this version is overall.

All I can say 4j new that tutorial worlds thought players every little detail and they gave it a charm. Mojang doesn’t really understand how to give Minecraft that same amount of charm. And bedrock is just Minecraft PE

Why does everyone hate bedrock?

I think Mojang Didn't take any inspiration from the John mod but the wardens Beta design from 2020 I think is very reminiscent to John since it's white almost same body physique Black hole in the head and chest and hints of red but the horns and blue hints makes it a bit different to john

4:04 There is a bedrock experience. It's main characteristics are: - buggy asf - insane stuttering on pc and mobile - microtransactions everywhere - as opposed to java being controlled by the community, bedrock is controlled by Mojang/Microsoft

I'll alyways gonna miss that crafting menu on 360 edition, playing TU14 and beating the dragon for the very first time, dayum the time I bought Bedrock edition for the One S it was ugly and buggy, (a brand new One S!) and it didn't even feel like Legacy, more like a copy/paste from a gloryfied pocket edition, fortunately, I could change to Java. it feels different.

Bedrock Edition shouldve stayed as Pocket Edition- For a phone or tablet. Its a great experience. But you shouldnt port a mobile game to consoles. Seriously. Why do i have to play a version of Minecraft that was made for weak devices. On a fucking Xbox Series X.

I might buy a ps4 at the end of this year and i already have a ps3 with Minecraft ps3 edition, so probably if i buy a ps4 i'll just straight up buy Minecraft ps4 edition instead of the "Minecraft" microsoft wants us to play (or we can blame mojang too)

its sort of hilarious that alot of mcsm gameplay were or is being added to the base game, the combat, the swimming, fishes, april fools nether update snapshot (coloured portals), combat test snapshot making grass not break upon hit with a sword, armor TRIMS, NETHERITE, (Poof sound? miencraft Wind Charge effect applied on mobs when they die, kidna nostalgic :)) (animation texture packs, more blocks like copper blocks?) well..etc!, Nice video!, mods like create mods!
