I like the ideas of alternative timelines/ choices in LW. how the series could have changed if certain things did or didn't happen, such as what if Veeva Dash didn't turn evil in Friend and Foe, what if Stampy was stuck in the past in Cat to the future or what if the series ended early (around episode 20) and how would the world be after that. It sounds like a cool idea for a series.

Three problems with your "Stampy should of passed away" ending...
1 - The books. How is Stampy gonna write the books with his own characters if the MC dies before the story even starts?
2 - Stampy clearly wrote the finale the way he did to make it clear that Lovely World does not define his person. Having him die at the end would be disrespectful, since it would imply that a Minecraft world is worth more than his life as a human. It's not. Let Joe move on by his own terms.
3 - The way the finale is written also has the moving on message with a friendlier tone rather than the "Stampy dies and his world slowly dies" ending. Hit the Target has control now, which has the implication that the world will be maintained in some way (perhaps in red and black colours now) and Stampy making that choice to leave makes the ending more digestible for a younger audience to accept he's moving on rather than a sudden death. It also has a "there's more to come" tone with the ending shot of them walking away, as if they're going towards a new beginning.
I have a thread on my Twitter about my interpretation of the ending if you're interested. It may change your mind about the finale and give some perspective on the analogies it has outside the series.
EDIT:
Extra 4th reason - I hate nostalgia comments as much as you do, but noticing how a lot of them use death-related language and imply that the end of Lovely World would be the "death of Stampy", how much would your proposed ending encourage that belief and make his audience not want to move on at all?
Moving on isn't death, it's a new beginning. That's why Stampy left rather than died.

Stampy and barnaby represents our childhoods and us watching it develop (the lovely world) and then Hit The Target is adulthood taking over and childhood leaving. Then once its left you know it's now gone but as you go through adulthood you can still have the memories of childhood.
If stampy died it would of just been a poor way of ending it as it would have little meaning to it.
Death and talking about it should come from someone close to you like a family member, teacher or a professional not a youtuber.

That’s how I did my continuation, stampy left, hit the target destroyed the world and then realized he was wrong, he regretted everything and left which is where my character comes in and rebuilds everything.
