I never used adobe before so I have a few questions. I am wondering if I purchase the creative cloud photography package to get Adobe Portfolio, does that cover getting a personalized domain name, etc? Also what storage amount should I get for the portfolio (20 GB or 1TB)?
from what I understand, the domain you get with the adobe CC subscription is TKphotography.adobeportfolio.com (or something like that). You'd have to buy a domain name elsewhere to get rid of the "adobeportfolio" part of the domain, but that I guess is what you can expect since its an almost free service. As for the storage amount of the photography package, I don't have much help to offer since that all depends on how you want to use it... I keep all my photos locally on hard drives so I never need more cloud storage but if you'd like to store all your pics online, the 1TB might be best...
Very well made and inclusive information. I wonder if those clickable buttons can be placed on any part of an image. I have my About with text I created in Adobe Illustrator and brought it in as a PNG could I place the 2 or 3 button on top of certain part of the PNG, so it would take me to another Page? Thanks.
I want very much to continue using Adobe Portfolio. However, there are some pesky quirks that I cannot seem to find work arounds for. Specifically: the logo. Apparently, I can either have text OR an image. There is no option to have both, as in an icon/logo/image file with clear text laid out next to, above/below, etc. Similarly, while Adobe gives me options for what the logo section does on rollover, responsive (mobile), again: i'm hemmed in by the EITHER/OR nature of text OR image. Think: Have text displayed on desktop/wide view, but below responsive threshold, have the text switch to an icon. All of which may sound trivial. But its a few of these annoying design (IMO) omissions that keeps me rolling my own in Bootstrap.
Ben, this is a great overview tutorial for Adobe Portfolio! Maybe I missed it in the video, but can you answer this: For one of my sites, I would prefer that the browser tab not reveal my full name. I am using a domain that I own, and that is the text that I want the browser tab to show. Instead, the browser tab shows my name (i.e., the name under which I manage my Adobe account) + the domain name. So, is there any way to mask my name from the browser tab? Thank you in advance for any shared insight. Keep up the great efforts!
Thanks Ben! This was very helpful.
Brilliantly explained - very clear
Great video!
Great Video. When you export from LR what is the size of the file for the portfolio?
