    I have a p22q ordered and lots of all those different 22 ammo except the silvertip. I wont buy them. Good video. The silvertips may be ok for a revolver but not semiauto. Is this a P22 or P22q. BTW have you tried Stingers?

    Considering you were wearing those for work and most likely more than the average hike time per day, you are very fortunate they are going to cover you. I'm 6'1 220lbs and hike 5 days a week in mine and they are still good after 8 months. They are amazing running/light hiking shoes with soft, grippy rubber, but not 8 h/day work shoes.

    • @blackswampoutdoors4850
      @blackswampoutdoors4850 21 годину тому

      Not all work time is constant use. No where in the manufacturer description does it state an acceptable load cycle. How could one determine the “average hike time per day” how would we explain the other pair we have with minimum wear from the same activity? Definitely a bum pair or run in my opinion. Glad i did receive a voucher for sure, thanks for watching!

      @@blackswampoutdoors4850 My point is that you didn't use them for their intended use and then were surprised at Salomon's response to your warranty claim. Why didn't you claim warranty right away when the gore-tex failed in the first week or two? That's a clear warranty claim and you didn't seem to be concerned then. Your actions and choices are questionable imho. As a automotive tech I can claim two things... 1. I wouldn't chose these shoes for work and expect them to perform and last and I am outside a lot. I would purchase shoes that are suitable for the job. Salomon makes other models that would be much more fitting to your line of work. You chose poorly imho. 2. You can take a new car with a 5 year warranty and ruin it within minutes with improper use and it would not be covered under warranty. Just saying.

    I think I got it. It's a semi-problematic. I wanted to like this gun but I'm about to step off the fence. Maybe it gets better with use or maybe you have to change out the extractor and pin. All that said, every semi 22LR gun I've ever had or shot has "failed-to" something or other in about every mag...I still want to like this.

    what about the 308 whitetail? vs. the obsidian foundry? and while we're at it what about the origin hoody? wick and kiln series?

    • @blackswampoutdoors4850
      @blackswampoutdoors4850 12 днів тому

      308 whitetail is a similar pant but changes available camo the pocket layout a bit to better suit treestand and saddle hunting methods. As for the base/mid layers you brought up. I have wick short sleeves and a wick hoody. They stick with me almost all year long to some capacity from September doves to January geese. The origin hoody is one of my favorites i have again a super versatile layer that i uses almost all year long! The Kiln series is my go to for next to skin layers especially when things get down right cold. I use the kiln crew long sleeve and long john pants. I don’t have the qz or hoody but i am sure they would be nice as well! Maybe some videos on subjects such as this would be helpful?

In fact, I thought the dealer I got it from sold me a fake. I was very disappointed, to say the least. I ordered one from Vedder but I still kept looking up this holster business and came across your video. Then I went through the comments posted and dang! the belt goes over the holster for OWB?! I am pretty new to pistol carry/holsters and such but I have never imagined that for OWB carry the belt goes over the holster. Ah well, you learn something every day.

I think the P22Q would be a good fit for me, size accuracy and controls. I don't need it for protective service although I did have a guy walk up on me unannounced once on property I rented outside city limits when I was plinking. I think I could manage with the P22Q in a pinch because I don't strap on two pistols to go plink.
