    Nice review, Eberlestock makes some nice stuff if a bit costly. they are worth the money if you use the pack a lot. i like all of the extra compartments.

    Been carrying a Kelty tactical for years but its pretty tired, looking at the Redwing 30T as a replacement, but I like the Switchblads, though more $$$...

    The pack would be much nicer, if you could detach the the foldable insert in the main compartment and just use velcro pouches.

      Alexander Leiker you’re saying if you could take out the organizers?

    • @alextribe1617

      @@blackswampoutdoors4850 yep, a little bit more like the arc'teryx khard series. I think the switchblade has an awesome design, but I would't have much use for the folding organizer stuff in the main compartment. the little organizers on the inner sides are great, but the thing for laptop/hydration bladder should be detachable.

    • @blackswampoutdoors4850
      @blackswampoutdoors4850  5 років тому

      Alexander Leiker I couldn’t agree more. I was telling one of my friends it would make way more sense to not have those if they are going to have MOLLE webbing on it. Really though, once you get some items in the organizer it isn’t near as bad.

    You should still use a holster inside the pack. My question is the holster sleeve lined with some kind of Velcro?

    • @m39fan
      @m39fan 3 роки тому +1

      It's lined with a soft material that grabs Velcro hook very well.

    Not sure how comfortable I would be with running a glock chambered with nothing to secure it to like in other CCW packs. I guess I could always run a kydex holseter but then that's just another step to get to your side arm. Do you feel that the magnets are pretty secure?

    • @blackswampoutdoors4850
      @blackswampoutdoors4850  4 роки тому +1

      Shonryu yes they are. I am the same as you though. I don’t want to carry anything loaded unless I know it’s pointed in a safe direction and secure. I’m sure some people do carry hot using the compartment but I usually don’t.

    • @m39fan

      Velcro holsters can be attached anywhere in the compartment.

    Would the concealed carry pocket have enough room for a full sized handgun with a pocket holster?

    • @blackswampoutdoors4850

      dbpirate29 My Glock with a Blackhawk paddle holster will fit, but it is uncomfortable on your back if the pack is full

  • @fearnonebutone4977

    So the CCW area, is there room for some sort of holster inside there?

    • @blackswampoutdoors4850
      @blackswampoutdoors4850  5 місяців тому

      No not necessarily. I’m sure with the right ccw holster you could make it work. I have a Blackhawk holster that I have put in there with my Glock, but it makes it almost impossible to deploy the Glock in an efficient manner

    Hey thanks for the rieview, just a short question since i could not find an answer on google. Is it made of 1000D codura ? Thanks

      Chris K don’t quote me on it because I’m not good with my fabrics but I’m pretty certain that it is. Contact eberlestock and I’m sure they will confirm it.

    Just a quick question regarding the concealed carry pouch. Is it on left or right side and can you access it while wearing the pack?

    • @blackswampoutdoors4850
      @blackswampoutdoors4850  4 роки тому +1

      Bob Thurlkill great question! So it’s actually ambidextrous so there are openings on both sides of the pack. The pouch is shaped like a downwards triangle so you can put your firearm in both configurations.

    • @blackswampoutdoors4850
      @blackswampoutdoors4850  4 роки тому +1

      Bob Thurlkill also, it would be almost impossible to access while wearing the pack

      Nick Holman the pack is still great. The only complaint that I still have is the organizing folders inside of the pack. Everything else has held up to my standards. I packed a weeks worth of clothes into it with no problems

    They make great packs but zippers are junk.

    • @blackswampoutdoors4850
      @blackswampoutdoors4850  4 роки тому

      j p I would have to disagree with you. On the switchblade especially, I think it is a great feature that you can unzip the top with out the zipper opening up on its own.

      @@blackswampoutdoors4850 I have a combat briefcase and the zipper just went on it. Have to send it in. It will be at least a 6 week process. I wont know if its covered under warranty until they get it. After comparing to my other eberlestock pack it looks like all the main zippers are designed the same.
