Two huge cruise ships manoeuvred their way into a Cornish harbour despite strong winds and poor visibility. Arriving at the break of dawn, the 732ft Seven Seas Splendor gently edged into Falmouth docks before being joined soon after by the German cruise ship Europa.

Cornwall's revived ancient 'Crying the Neck' custom begins
Переглядів 862 години тому
People gathered in a quiet Cornish field to see the return of an ancient custom which was revived almost 100 years ago in west Cornwall. The tradition of 'Crying the Neck' marks the end of the harvest, and is a ceremony dating back to the time when corn was cut by hand. Organised by the Redruth Old Cornwall Society and held at Trevince Fields, Gwennap, the ancient 'Crying the Neck' ceremony too...

More AI road cameras that catch law-breaking drivers are to be rolled out across Cornwall. The first such free-standing camera system was trialled in the Devon and Cornwall Police force area last year. In the first 72 hours of deployment, the system detected 117 mobile phone offences and 180 seat belt offences. Vision Zero South West, a partnership of local authorities like Cornwall Council, po...

Deer 'bolted' when they saw 'big cat' at Cornwall beauty spot
Переглядів 79214 днів тому
A couple think they've filmed a "big cat" prowling through the grounds of a popular Cornish manor house and gardens. They say it was no ordinary 'house cat'. Footage taken on Sunday (August 4) at around 7.20pm shows the black figure making its way across grass at Lanhydrock House, near Bodmin St Neot. The woman, from St Austell, who recorded the footage said it even spooked the deer nearby caus...

Переглядів 513Місяць тому
Last year a distraught, newly homeless woman packed her bags, dropped her four cats off to a foster home and set foot inside a hotel in Cornwall thinking she'd live there for a matter of weeks, or months at a push. With nowhere else to go as a result of a relationship breakdown, Annette Wilkinson, 50, is now familiar with nearly every room of the Premier Inn in Bude. She's lived there for 19 mo...

New ferry arrives ready to launch rival Isles of Scilly service
Переглядів 3,9 тис.Місяць тому
For more than 100 years travelling to the Isles of Scilly involved going on the Scillonian from Penzance to St Mary's and since the Sixties, there has also been the option of travelling by air, first by helicopter then by plane from 1984. As travelling by helicopter or plane remains more expensive, most visitors and islanders go back and forth by sea. Until now passengers had to sail on board t...

A 'tin tabernacle' church in Cornwall has been given protected status because of its links to the largest RNLI rescue in its 200-year history. Historic England announced this week that St Mary's Church in Cadgwith has become Grade II-listed not only for its architectural importance but also due to its link to the rescue of 456 passengers and crew from the Suevic in 1907 after the ship ran agrou...

Take off the information - takes up 50% of the screen!🙄
Outstanding policing. The officer was fast to stop the car at the first opportunity.
jailed for 13 months lol.
Used to go a lot in the 1970s and this never went on. A disco at The Doom bar was as exciting as the evening entertainment went.
Nice
Most of these incidents seem to be dangerous driving not driving without due care. Driving standards wont improve until dangerous driving is addressed with punitive fines.
How do you find out what happened to a vehicle which was reported - is it public information?
13 months for this. But don't you dare protest little kids being m**dered....
opaa
I heard its now cancelled...???
He cut my hair once
Boring crash.....
He was on that BBC Documentary Cornwall The Fishing life.
How come the lorry driver got off so lightly, clearly the most dangerous driving.
Next stop. Dodgy American Porn 😂 watch the offers flood in 😂
Soon to be used as pay per mile
Of course ...its more than the seatbelt and phone thing i promise! Sneaky move . Stay vigilant folks !
Nice!!
Totally inconsistent fines and points to offences. How do they even work them out I have no idea.
And please stop missing out certain rooms we would love to see all of them
He should be wearing a mic you can't hear what he's saying unless you turn the volume up to full but then her voice is too loud. I couldn't hear a thing he was saying
I do believe there are large cats around, but that's a normal cat. I watched a black cat walk away through some fields recently. It was just a domestic cat but by the time it got into the far field it looked enormous. Optical illusion.
Did I miss the part where you "kicked the first ball at Truro City FC's 'breathtaking' new FA ground"?
I wouldn't sell such a house if i won something like that. I would keep it. At least somewhere to go when a hotel kicks me out.
Why is it that nearly all footage of supposedly big cats are shaky or out of focus, I believe there is big cats out in the countryside but I would love to see some really good footage (clear in focus and without the shakes) 😮
Littarly a house cat my cat is this size
I wondered where my bloody cat had gone 😂
Yeah, its a nice try for a headline :) but the park bench you can see at 0:17 on the left, means that cat can only be around 1-2 ft across maximum, which is still pretty big for a domestic cat, but its no Bodmin Beast, if it was it would be the width of the park bench and some
Beast of Bodmin moor?
That’s just a Moggy
looks so fake this. Like poor acting
Lol at the donuts i do that shit reguarly
IMO, it's time to start suspending licences and handing out bans for the more serious offences like the white van using the pavement to overtake. Points and a fine is sending the wrong message.
All gone before it even started . What a waste of resources. It's a crying shame . I was booked for a crossing in June then it was July then the end of August. I had to get my money back which wasn't a problem but some people had to get another way to cross at the last minute because of this . If I had the millions I would have liked to step in as this could have been a good earner.😢
Racists
Riot!😂
I’m here in st Ives right now! I’ll go look tomorrow
He who hasn't sinned cast the first stone. Battling alcoholism is hell on earth. I'm glad to see Tom is in a good place now. I wish him and his wife healing and peace.
This new service is permanently cancelled apparently…
How is it that we are getting more A's and A-stars, when the truth is so obvious that IQ is so much lower????
I honestly think people that drive recklessly do not have anything to live for and their lives are crap, because they clearly don't care if they live or die in a crash caused by their careless driving. The sad thing is they would probably survive but the poor bugger they hit, wouldn't.
Oak trees survive in Australia, plenty of of examples of English oaks 100+yrs old. You have nothing to worry about them not surviving in England.
Eucalyptus grows a lot faster thou. Oaks takes ages to grow. The whole world grows them now I saw tons of eucalyptus plantations when I was travelling in Kenya
@@rraqua1279 that is true, but the statement he made about native English trees not surviving is pure fallacy. I live in Western Australia, we have 1 English oak and 4 Algerian oaks on our property, plus maples and ambers, all are doing great. We have much hotter and drier conditions and they still survive. For example, we had 20mm of rain from October 2023 to April 2024.
Ignore this ..the service has been cancelled . Read more up to date newspapers.
These bus drivers are good, honest working poeple. We, as the public, must show our support.
The fact that his wife supports him still shows that isn't really his character. We all have our issues. We all have our bottoms. Some are uglier then others but he seems like a good lad. Sucks he isn't in Kasabian but I can enjoy them and his solo stuff at the same time.
I have a well-organised mind, allowing me to focus on the essential. I am disappointed that the signs that display the users who/that are not allowed on this tempting stretch of tarmac only forbid horse-carts that are loaded with hay and bicycles that have no-one riding them. A team of cycling horses pulling a sled loaded with inebriated hedgehogs would be allowed? Who ordered the signs?
Putting the text over the view wasn't the brightest idea.
1:55 Sweet Jesus. Is that all?
They must pay a tarriff to visit and the money should be spent on tidying up the bloody litter everywhere .Don,t know what the tourists think when they come to Cornwall litter on every hedgerow all over .councils don,t do it anymore.right got that of my chest.Good money coming in to the economy. But there is always a down side ,wait to see what that is.,
Many villages in Cornwall are dead in the in winter because they are full of second homes, holiday lets and AirB&B.
Lifetime ban and 3 years in prison. I wish I could dish out the pun.
