- A couple think they've filmed a "big cat" prowling through the grounds of a popular Cornish manor house and gardens. They say it was no ordinary 'house cat'.
Footage taken on Sunday (August 4) at around 7.20pm shows the black figure making its way across grass at Lanhydrock House, near Bodmin St Neot. The woman, from St Austell, who recorded the footage said it even spooked the deer nearby causing them to "bolt".
Gemma Smith, who was with partner Jamie Williamson and their children at the time, said: "Doesn't look like your average house cat.... could it be?!" She said: "We were halfway up from the manor house and even from that distance you could see it was a big cat."

I wondered where my bloody cat had gone 😂
I do believe there are large cats around, but that's a normal cat. I watched a black cat walk away through some fields recently. It was just a domestic cat but by the time it got into the far field it looked enormous. Optical illusion.
Why is it that nearly all footage of supposedly big cats are shaky or out of focus, I believe there is big cats out in the countryside but I would love to see some really good footage (clear in focus and without the shakes) 😮
Beast of Bodmin moor?
Littarly a house cat my cat is this size
That’s just a Moggy
Yeah, its a nice try for a headline :) but the park bench you can see at 0:17 on the left, means that cat can only be around 1-2 ft across maximum, which is still pretty big for a domestic cat, but its no Bodmin Beast, if it was it would be the width of the park bench and some
