Lumber Shed Build Ep. #4
Lumber Shed Build Ep. #4
This will likely be the second to last video in this lumber shed build series. I will have one final video but it may not be out for a while.
I will need to mill a bit more lumber on the woodland mills hm126 sawmill to be able to get the job complete. I did a good job getting a lot of the lumber I had laying around put to use into this project, but now I am running into some shortages of lumber in a few areas. A little hard work should solve that problem relatively quickly.
I hope you all have enjoyed this series so far, I have enjoyed documenting it.
As Always
Thanks For Watching

Lumber Shed Build Ep. #3

Lumber Shed Build Ep. #3 In this video I continue on with the lumber shed. The main focus of this video is getting the roof beams up and secured. I already had enough 6x6 posts that I had previously cut on the woodland mills hm126 portable sawmill, so instead of heading out and cutting some 2x10's, I decided those would work for this project. I also do some important bracing, and get started on...

Lumber Shed Build Ep. #2 The second part in a series of videos that documents me building a lumber storage shed. After the purchase of my woodland mills hm126 portable sawmill one of the things I have wanted was a better place to dry and keep my lumber out of the weather. Even now as I am building this in the winter I am dealing with the lumber I am using having snow and ice on it which makes f...

Lumber Shed Build Ep. #1 The woodland mills hm126 has served me quite well so far, and that mean I am starting to accumulate lumber faster than it is being used. Hardwood, especially needs a long time to dry and for that reason it has been taking up space in my sawmill area and makes working around it a bit of a pain. For this reason I have decided to clear a small area where I can build a shed...

Woodland Mills Blade Tooth Setter - Set Up and First Use. If you watched my last video where I set up the woodland mills blade sharpener you could probably see this one coming. Woodland Mills Blade Sharpener - Assembly and First Sharpen. I figured that the longer i put off getting my owner bandsaw blade sharpener the more I would regret it. It does cost quite a bit to purchase one of these up front, however over the long run there were many more positives than negatives that I could come up with. It will theoretically cost far less over the long term, I will have self...

Woodland Mills Sawmill - Taking Care Of The Undesirables I have found that I have the tendency to ignore some of the logs I have pulled into the mill for one reason or another. Some were really small, some were really big, and others were bent and curved and just plain hard to mill up compared to a nice straight log. Nevertheless once the time comes where that's all that I have left in at the m...

Woodland Mills Sawmill - Making Basswood Slabs For A Woodcarver We had a few basswood logs that we did not have much of a use for, and it just so happens that one of our family friends is a woodcarver. I fire up the woodland mills hm126 and cut them into a few slabs per his specifications, and hopefully it will be enough to keep him busy for a while! As Always Thanks For Watching Chris

Corn Silage - Getting The Cattle Feed Harvested For Winter Anybody that is familiar with cattle know they eat a lot. On top of the hay and sorghum that we spend most of the summer stockpiling, we also do some corn silage which is a good way to boost the amount of feed we have on hand to get the cows through the winter. It is also a good way to cover the bases as some years the hay crop may not ...

Wedding Bar Build - How I Built This Bar For A Wedding In this video I document how I built a bar for my brother and sister in laws wedding from scratch. I had a lot of fun on this project and ...
A Great Day For Hay

A Great Day For Hay we have not had much luck with the weather this year, as it pertains to hay and as a result we have had to wet wrap nearly all of our cattle feed this year. Finally we have a few days of solid sunshine so we try to make the most of it and get as much dry hay done in the window as we can. My part of the job includes baling up a couple fields of round bales at the end of the w...

Just made my auto lube with a push button flow valve for $12 off amazon, was able to use a simple bungee off the throttle lever to make it auto on/off with the throttle on my homemade mill. Thanks for this video, as it helped me eventually locate that type of push button flow valve!

I don't see the issue with adjusting the drive wheel. If the blades are even, they are event. Blade tension can make a difference and can move the wheels once tightened. This is one of of the few cases where you actually do need a torque wrench.

thanks for posting Chris, very information videos about woodland saw mills. I've been using my Max 130 for the past couple of months (16 footer on trailer). lots of growing pains / learning!! FYI - I needed to adjust my band will alignment - and the follower side was fine. I actually adjusted it - with no success. I needed to adjust the drive side. My mill didn't have that "don't touch sticker", and tech support said it was ok to adjust just the drive side. Very time consuning going back and forth - and I found out I needed to change my drive belts. I was too timid to change the blade (and frugal) after hitting the log stop a couple of times ....which slows down cutting and puts pressure / wear on everything else. I also needed to tighten the drive belt tensioner (6 mm or 1/4 inch deflection). It's a pain to learn it - but hopefully future adjustments are more efficient.

HM122 here as well. If I’m not concerned with being dead on I’ll use the scale. I actually think it’s less problematic to simply mark the board I’m cutting and drop the blade to the mark.

The belt drive wheel combo no these suck. It's not the way band saws are supposed to be made and it is not as good as the right way. I still do not regret getting it but this will always trouble me. I see other videos where people are thinking it is their fault they lose blades but it is the saw's fault. a chip can make it jump off. the drive is wrong.
