    i'm in the uk & grew up feeding into all the worst parts of USA & never ever wanted to visit (most people in europe still dont due to media fear mongering about crime , homelessness , Mass Shootings etc) but when you tune into the REAL USA , the real folk & the scenery damn it seems amazing ; EVERYWHERE in the south heading up through Utah , Nebraska , Colorado , Montana , Wyoming , Oregon & Washington really really interest me
    love the idea of taking 2 years out & travelling the USA , 2 weeks in each state on a Motorcycle & the option to leave it safely when trekking into the wilderness , I'd do it on my RSV4 too . . . . . . I Think . . . . Maybe not😂

      That sounds great. I would in no way travel on an RSV4. That be the worst choice you could make. But a long motorcycle trip around the US would be amazing

    I did an iron butt on a Honda Hornet (599). I have a Tuono now. It took me 22hrs due to traffic. Once was enough.

      Well, tomorrow is the day. We'll see how it goes. I'm sure it will be very uncomfortable but the route we selected will be scenic for the most part.

    Alright LL, after 11,000 miles my Vulcan s, like you had is finally getting new tires. I realized that that particular sport cruiser runs tires that are smaller than conventional cruisers. The front and rear tire sizes are " sport /touring "size. So I got sport /touring tires. Alot of tire mileage is the weight of the motorcycle. Vulcan s is not a heavy motorcycle. Mine always has only one rider. That means my tires last longer than tires with alot of weight on them. I will install them myself. I have the equipment to do it. I have a motorcycle tire changer, bead breaker and balancing capability. Enjoy your iron butt.

      Which tires did you end up going with?

      I got dunlop roadsmart 3 120 70 18 and 160 60 17. Couldn't get oem dunlop d220's. 120 70 18 is rarer than 120 70 17. It is hard to find a matching front and rear tire for vulcan s I found out. I had to special order the 120 70 18. Very few brands have both sizes to begin with. They usually have one or the other but not both.

    It's a bit of a waste taking all these tools cause you'll likely won't be taking off the front wheel for any repair of forks, etc. I guess it doesn't matter if you're doing a there-and-back ride, but it would weigh you down if you were doing a week long ride with a one way 1000 miles and weighed down with clothes, shoes, etc.

      Yeah. I took the stuff that I felt like I would need for both bikes. Gladly we didnt need them and my friend put them in his saddlebag.

    Hey,
    How much Liters does the RSV consume up to 100km at a moderate riding?
    And how far do you come with one fuel till the light comes on?
    From the light begin u have 4 liters reserve right?
    Thank You?

    • @rsv4pilot114
      @rsv4pilot114  Рік тому +1

      I had to do a conversion because I'm in the US and don't use km per liter but if I ride conservative and don't get on the gas hard, it can get 40mpg or 5.8L per 100km. If you get aggressive, it will get around 32mpg or 7.3L per 100km. But this is street riding where even if you are aggressive, you only do it for a short time because you get traffic or red lights and things like that. The fuel light comes on around 125miles give or take, depending on how much you twist the throttle or idling. I've had it go 125mi and the light hasn't come on yet but I've had it come on sooner. Just depends on how you ride it. And yes, you have 4 liters once the light comes on.
